All this does is further make the case for single payer; insurance companies can only sustain their business with the subsidies from Obamacare. Removing the subsidies requires insurers to raise premiums by as much as 25%. What that means is that private insurance companies can only administer payments and be profitable if premium rates are sky-high. So then that begs the obvious question; why do we need these companies to do something so anodyne to the process? Why not just have Medicare serve the function of all insurance companies?
