Trump is threatening a move that could make Obamacare implode — here's which states have the most to lose

If the Trump administration does decide to end the payments, known as cost-sharing reductions, it could lead to higher premiums and fewer insurance plan choices in the exchanges. CSRs are paid to insurance companies to help offset the cost of discount health plans they provide to Americans making 200% of the federal poverty limit.

Cost-sharing-reduction payments are made to insurers to offset some of their costs for providing discount insurance plans to Americans who earn up to 200% of the federal poverty limit.

The states in dark blue are the states that get the most government help. Trump calls cost sharing for the poor "bail outs". Look at Ohio. An insurer there said they will pull out because of "uncertainty". The uncertainty is because of Trump threatening to cut help for the poor.

So what does that mean? The light blue states get much less help from the government. But states like, well, most of the Red States will have fewer choices because without CSR's their premiums will skyrocket.

So who voted for Trump? Who will be the most hurt by Trump's plan? Follow the colors on the map.

Gonna be really interesting to see what happens to McConnell when he comes up for reelection, because almost all of KY's KYNECT healthcare program is connected to the ACA. If the ACA goes away, so does all of KY's healthcare.

I believe Trump is threatening this to force the Dems to the table FAST. He wants something passed and he knows it will take Dems. I think this is his way of forcing Congress to get crackin'.
