Yes you need to cut the budget, and cut spending. Instead of paying earned income credits to workers, tell their employers to pay them a living wage. Eliminate earned income credits, Most Section 8 Housing, and most Food Stamps, and all of the government workers it takes to administer those programs.

These programs are functional wage subsidies for the some of the most profitable corporations in America. Every $1 in the pockets of poor people costs the taxpayers $1.50 in administration and processing. Every $1 of raise costs companies $0.80 because wages are tax deductible, and the federal government .20 in lost taxes from the company. Prices will go up for taxpayers slightly, but taxes will go down.

The Democrats are not "worse". The Democrats are the guys who patch up the economy and get it back on the road every time Republicans run it into a ditch. But like an old jalopy that's not working well even when it is running, and needs to be replace with a more modern model, the Reagan tax code hasn't worked. It rewards wealth not work, and 80% of the American people are workers. 60% of Americans don't have the resources to deal with a $500 emergency.

An economy that only works for 20% of your people, and is gradually impoverishing the other 80% leads to to second tier status.

I don't trust any Republican on the economy. The only thing any of them ever do is cut taxes and increase the deficit. Haley would be a great Secretary of State, but she doesn't have the economic chops. No Republican does.

Trump isn't "better than Biden". Trump is a one-man economic wrecking crew. Those 7 bankruptcies didn't happen by accident. They happened because Trump doesn't listen to anyone, doesn't read, study, or prepare. When he walks into a negotiation, he "reads the room and goes with his gut". The fact that he's rich is proof positive his instincts are the "best".

Obama tasked Biden with the job of restarting the US economy and Biden set off the longest period of sustained economic growth in American history, which Trump took credit for creating. The economic impact of the Infrastructure Act and the Inflation Reduction Act, take time to be felt, but by next November, people will be really seeing the impact in their family budgets.
