No..the problem was that NOTHING was done for over a month.....no "all of a sudden" about it.

Because there was nothing to DO. Police evaualte the scene, collect evidence and witness testimony and present it to the DA for determination of charges. Turns out it was exactly what he said and what they determined......self defense......despite what the race baiters and media circus tried to turn it into.
