Travel Officials Just Admitted Trump Has DECIMATED The American Tourism Industry

The travel company Frommer’s has revealed the shocking effect Donald Trump’s election has had on tourism in America, an industry that contributed 1.47 trillion dollars to GDP in 2014. Frommer’s reports that,

“Experts across the travel industry are warning that masses of tourists are being scared away from visiting the United States, and the loss of tourism jobs could be devastating.”

The phenomenon is being called the ‘Trump Slump’ because it is a direct result of Trump’s election and policies, most notably his now defunct ‘Muslim-ban’ which blocked travelers from seven majority-Muslim countries. Tourism from the countries that were affected is down 80% despite the ban being lifted.

Even countries without a significant Muslim population are sending fewer tourists. Right now all foreign tourism is down nearly 7%. Online searches for flights from foreign countries to America have fallen by 17%, according to Frommer’s.

This is not restricted to holiday-makers. During the first week of the Muslim-ban foreign business travel dropped by an astounding 185 million dollars. European flight searches for the United States have dropped by 11.6%, according to Forbes.

If this trend continues, the U.S. will lose billions of dollars of foreign tourism and hundreds of thousands of American jobs in industries ranging from restaurants and hotels to transportation and stores.

Trump is a epic failure

A: Policy wise, what you are saying isn't possible. The only policy in place would *DELAY* entry into the country by Syrian refugees. Last I checked, refugees were not showing up with millions of dollars, and staying at beach front resorts in their burkas.

B: Economically speaking, Europe is in a desperate situation. I would hazard a guess, that potential tourists having less money, is more a factor in less tourism, than some guy with a bad hair style in Washington.

C: Even if by chance, you could actually find any connection whatsoever between Trump and tourism, it still doesn't mean he's a failure. I've never once in my entire life, seen any historian anywhere talk about the success or failure of previous presidents by citing tourism numbers. The whole concept makes you sound like a moron.

By that logic, you would conclude that Putin has been a resounding success because tourism is up in Crimea after Putin openly advocated that Russians vacation there, now that it is part of Russia. Do you not see how ridiculous your position is? Forest Gump could see how dumb that logic is.

Is that what I said? I called him a moron, for trying to claim that an entire presidential administration is a failure over..... travel numbers? Travel numbers is the fact. I didn't say that made him dumb.

Claiming Trump is a failure because of travel numbers, when that isn't an accurate measurement of anything..... except.... travel.... that makes him a moron. And it does... and he is.

I'm sure the certain increase in business travel will offset the the remittances of Yemeni and Somali tourists.

Great. When is that increase in business travel going to happen?
I've little doubt it already has. As the US enters trade bi-lateral trade deals, this will only increase.

Sadly, loss of travel numbers are only one of the ways that orange clown is failing.

Wow. 293.1 billion already this year? I hate to tell you. but a projection from a year or two ago doesn't prove anything.

Still just a projection from before the election, and long before Trump was elected and caused millions of people around the world to protest. Long before he started trying to ban people from countries who have no history of terrorism against us. Long before that fool pissed off all our allies. Is any of this sinking in? Are there any sparks in your synaptic gaps yet?

Muslim and Jewish properties are being attacked by vandalism and arson. Anyone who even looks Muslim is at risk of attack and murder. The father of a son is warning his countrymen in India not to visit the US after his son was mistaken for a Muslim and murdered. A British school teacher was recently denied entree into the US because of his Muslim name.

It is no more or less of a prediction than the one claiming that the travel industry is headed for a long term downturn. Travel numbers for this month do not constitute a trend, end of story.
