Top EPA Official Resigns Over Flint Water

Despite the spin, everyone knows it's Obamas crew that is to blame.

Top EPA official resigns over Flint's toxic water crisis | Fox News

Still clinging to the myth that Gov, Snyder had NO knowledge of the lead leech after symptoms of lead poisoning started to affect Flint's dwellers and the GM plant stared to see their engines corrode after using the switched river water. Also, enigmatically, Detroit reversed it's decision to cut Flint's water off early while they were waiting for a Lake Huron pipeline?. Why did those heartless bastards do that? Detroit also owns some of the blame.: Here are some of the latest indictments from the EPA.

The environmental agency said Tuesday that "while EPA worked within the framework of the law to repeatedly and urgently communicate the steps the state needed to take to properly treat its water, those necessary (EPA) actions were not taken as quickly as they should have been."
The U.S. environmental agency said its oversight was hampered "by failures and resistance at the state and local levels to work with us in a forthright, transparent and proactive manner."
EPA says its response to Flint water crisis too slow

The governor and other state officials are going to be facing criminal charges for negligence on this one. Children and babies ingested the lead in the water and WILL be affected.

This is one the assholes and their cronies won't be getting out of. They likley have actually destroyed a number of lives permanently.

They need their asses kicked at Detroit Water and Sewage for getting in a hissy fit and forcing Flint to find an interim supplier.

But you have to understand that the public, the Flint City Council and the Governor's Office, the rest of the bloody state were all lied to. The lie only ended absolutely completely in October of 2015.

Good God in heaven DHHS stonewalled, lied, fabricated data and that's just the tip of the iceberg. There should be criminal charges laid against these people.

Key links and trust me worth the read. I wanted to bazooka barf by the end of this link.

Michigan Health Department Hid Evidence of Health Harm Due to Lead Contaminated Water: Allowed False Public Assurances by MDEQ and Stonewalled Outside Researchers

December 21, 2015 Siddhartha Roy Articles
After missing warning signs of spiking childhood lead poisoning that occurred few months after switching to a corrosive river water source in 2014, outside pressure forced officials at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to closely scrutinize their data in July 2015. They discovered scientifically conclusive evidence of an anomalous increase in childhood lead poisoning in summer 2014 immediately after the switch in water sources, but stood by silently as Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) officials repeatedly and falsely stated that no spike in blood lead levels (BLL) of children had occurred. DHHS employees later stonewalled efforts by outside researchers who questioned MDEQ statements and withheld damning documents but released incomplete data suggesting that there were no problems — DHHS officials ultimately fessed up only after incidence of childhood lead poisoning skyrocketed above 10% in the two Flint zip codes with highest water lead risk during summer 2015!

Now check out this. All this time they've been stonewalling but push comes to shove now. Even though at this point they're admitting there might be some issues they are in huge CYA mode.

Outside Researchers Asking to Analyze Flint’s Blood Lead Data Were Stonewalled: “Yikes!”

On September 2nd 2015, Professor Marc Edwards of Virginia Tech (primary author of this article and source of the Freedom of Information Act documents cited herein) made a simple data request to DHHS. Edwards had previously made an identical request in November 2006 for a blood lead study in Lansing, and that data was provided without any problems.

Grab this. Virginia Tech had to get an FOIA. Aye carumba.

Also “Not for the Public:” Data That Caused the State to Admit They Were Wrong.

By October 2nd, the DHHS finally acknowledged that there was a serious problem in Flint. It confirmed that children living in the two zip codes (48503 and 48504) identified by Virginia Tech has having highest lead in water risks , also had increased incidence of childhood lead poisoning after the switch to Flint River. Just as Hurely’s Mona—Hanna Attisha had asserted.

But they have never, to date, publicly released their in-house data demonstrating the extent of the problem.

Our FOIA reveals a shocking DHHS graph created in October 2015. It shows the statistically significant spike in blood lead that occurred in summer 2014– the scientific result that DHHS has never publicly acknowledged.

Even more horrifying, it also shows blood lead skyrocketing in summer of 2015, to the point where 9.5-12.5 percent of children in Flint’s two high risk zip codes were lead poisoned. This is in the range of Hurley’s more recent estimate that incidence of childhood lead poisoning in some neighborhoods was as high as 15%. It goes without saying, surely, that this data was also “not for the public.”

They lied. They hid information. They fudged data. It's just unreal. So right across the board no one got the deal till Virginia Tech (bless their souls) went after DHHS and revealed the horrid truth.

The governor and other state officials are going to be facing criminal charges for negligence on this one. Children and babies ingested the lead in the water and WILL be affected.

This is one the assholes and their cronies won't be getting out of. They likley have actually destroyed a number of lives permanently.

The politicians outside of the loop of DHHS were lied to. Including the Flint Mayor and City Council, the Democrat Emergency Manager, Governor Snyder and others.

What DHHS did was criminal.

The 2 major problems here and hold the LION'S SHARE OF THE BLAME.

1. Whoever designed the Treatment process of the NEW TREATMENT PLANT is the MAJOR POSTER CHILD FOR STUPIDITY.
They didn't use a treatment that accounted for the old piping the water would flow through. aka increasing the PH for OLD
LEAD PIPING. Thus minimizing the effect of the Infrastructure problem.

2. Detroit for BLACK MAILING FLINT by cutting them off after a year.

Now the solutions are minimal as the extra corrosion to the OLD LEAD PIPE WILL CONTINUE for a while anyway. The ONLY TRUE WAY TO END IT is to REPLACE ALL THE OLD WATER LINES. Which will COST A FORTUNE. But it is necessary to fix the PROBLEM PERMANENTLY.

In the interm.................FILTERS AT THE END USER will have to happen.
