Why are so many cars crossing the Mexican border ? I just saw something on TV about it . It is incredible how many there are, at the 48 border crossing junctions between Mexico and the US, where people can cross the border legally. This is mind-blowing. The number of vehicles crossing the border is astronomical.

I don't see why there should be ANY cars crossing the border legally, at all. If Mexicans are crossing into the US, to work at jobs on the American side, that shouldn't be happening. American jobs located inside the US should be held by Americans, not Mexicans.

If goods are coming into the US to be sold in American stores, these goods should be obtained from American suppliers, not Mexican. They should only be bought from Mexican suppliers if there is no American supplier to supply them (at a reasonable price). If this were previously the case, but American suppliers have become available, the Mexican sales should cease.

Tariffs should be put on almost all goods coming across the Mexican border, as President Trump has proposed. These should be large enough to make the Mexican exporting uneconomical.

The entire Mexican-US economic situation has been out of hand for decades, with Mexico making suckers out of America, and them getting the better of the overall situation. Trump is off to a good start by deporting many illegal aliens, which will cut down of the remittance loss$$, that has become Mexico's # 1 source of income. Much more needs to be done.

Plus we can save a lot of wasted money by closing down these border crossings, which only give advantange to Mexico, not us. They say the whole world is watching us. They're probably wondering why we do all the things we do that harm ourselves so much.

This can also help lower the pollution counts (and global warming - for those who believe in that)

obviously there's a lot of people who want to go to Mexico.
