I'd be interesting to see what the school uses instead of Mockingbird ... and what the books are used "for." If you read Lee's "Comes a Watchman" and then re-read Mockingbird, the book may not "mean" exactly what you were taught it meant. (-:
I am curious though about who complained and exactly why. The local newspaper said the book's language made some uncomfortable, and I assume that meant the "n" word.
