How the hell do you do that? Seriously, how in THE hell do you make ones life better without the other? You can advocate for jobs and economic growth and that's pretty much it. The chips fall where they fall. More jobs needing filled raises wages, and makes the employers money. You can't help but make the employers better off when the workers are.
