Three main times when a government should NOT cut taxes

No one likes to pay taxes, and no one should dispute the good results that paying taxes yields for us as individuals and for our society.

Yet, there are THREE times when taxes should not be cut.....

First, you don't cut taxes when engaged in 2 costly, unpaid for wars

Second, you don't cut taxes when spending is not also cut, forcing humongous borrowing .....and

Third, you don't cut taxes when the economy is flourishing, unemployment is very low, and businesses are thriving.

Trump's policies have broken ALL three of these tenets......and, as economists will readily tell you, "overheated" our economy and will cause higher government debt and drive our markets downward .

First: You don't go off to endless war adventures
Second: You cut taxes and spending
Third: You cut taxes even more when the economy is rolling.

I don't think there are real absolutes other than the congress/treasury should be on the same page as the Fed. And with the tax bill and spending, they are not.

The feds pulling money out of bonds, which would reduce the demand for higher interest rates on our fed debt, and also reduce the amt of cheap borrowed money, that investors are getting by borrowing, to invest in stocks.

With 80% of the indivd tax cut going to the 1%, all but the Trumpbots should see the obvious frustration of Fed policy the tax cut causes.

The corporate tax cut is not so bad.

Translation; You should give all the money you earn to the government and they will give you back what they think you need.

Actually, the above is the PERFECT "translation" and "conclusion" that an idiot would come up with........Thank you for the conformation, Rickie.....lol

You're retarded. There was no recession in 2003 or 1986.

Your "tenets" suck.
Simple. Cut taxes. Do not allow the government to borrow unneeded money and instead simply stop it from throwing away taxpayer money. Not rocket science.

What are the chances that the above idiot would become sec, of the treasury?..lol

Bush 2003. Reagan 1986.

The 86 tax act was intended to be pretty revenue neutral overall because it cut "loop holes."
Tax Reform Act of 1986 - Wikipedia
It had unintended consequences .. maybe.

Government tax receipts stayed more or less even, though.
