This video is described as a Saudi air strike on a Houthi rebel weapons dump in Yemen. That’s not…Read more

The fireball and resulting mushroom cloud seen in this video is not just from a weapon dropped by a fighter aircraft, but the result of explosive munitions and/or oils and fuels stored at the sight ignited by the initial blast. These “secondary effects” combine to create some absolutely stunningly scary exothermic reactions, as seen above.

I’ve received some mail asking how Houthi rebel forces are so heavily armed that explosions like these continue to happen. The answer is that Houthi forces now control the western half of Yemen, along with Yemen’s antiquated – although still deadly – military stockpiles, which included gravity bombs and SCUD missiles.

What is it that makes it look like a nuke to you....compared to nukes that was a pop-gun.

Not only that, the shockwave was too small, and there was no blinding flash of light.

Just for comparison's sake, this is what 5000 pounds of HE looks like going off (around 9:20 or so...). Pay attention to the blast signature on the high speed camera angles.

A 30 second commercial for Frosted Minnie Wheats followed by a 30 second commercial for feminine panty liners?

No thanks.
