think obama got a warrant....

Fact is Faisal Shahzad was using a disposable phone. Guess that blows your theory out of the water.

FYI: Cell phones can be traced, disposable or otherwise.

Exactly. Throw away phones are even more traceable. You are photographed buying them and they get far more scrutiny. They can roughly figure out where you live based on the phones travel info after activation.

Thank goodness Obama stopped this guy before he drove a explosive ridden truck into somewhere like.... lets say.... Times Square and attempted to blow it up.

Cause if that had happened our only hope would then have been that the idiot was a bad bomb builder.

That brave Obomba!

Tapping phones is so counterproductive these days anyway. Any terrorist worth his salt knows to use a throw-away cell phone, not a landline or a cell phone that can be traced.

Well I guess he didn't "dispose" of it very carefully, then. Obviously someone found it, which is the whole point of using one--hoping no one will.

Are you really that stupid? Do you think someone is going to buy a phone and just throw it away and not use it? Fact is little miss dumbass, he was USING the phone!

what exactly should Obama have done to stop it? The guy was a us citizen. should there be restrictions on buying propane tanks? how about used cars on craigslist?

there is nothing that could have been done. thats the problem with terrorists. Israel has the tighest security anywhere and still terrorists get through occasionally

but facts wont stop the loonies on th eright from ripping into Obama for everything

The guy left his set of keys in the vehicle. This meant he had to take the train home instead of his getaway car and needed to ask the landlord for a key to his apartment. Probably delayed his plans to fly out of the country too. Total fluke this guy was caught in the US.
