In 2004, Fletcher served eight months in the Sunni Triangle region of Iraq. Among some of his awards from this tour are the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat "V" for valor,[3] Combat Action Ribbon,[citation needed] and Iraqi Campaign Medal.[3] According to his website, he is
... a recipient of additional military awards including the Benton R. Montgomery Award for Excellence and the Walter Morris Honor Graduate Award.[4]
Fletcher served in United States Marine Corps Reserves as a Counterintelligence/Human Intelligence Specialist, working in the Horn of Africa on his final deployment, and earning the Joint Service Commendation Medal and Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.[3]

He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Airborne Course and Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center.[5]
link dosent work

link worked for me. Completely not related to the topic at hand, but it worked.

Yup. Worked for me as well. Just give the guys bio.

He served in the military. Good guy.

He's changing parties from Rep to Indi. Good for him. As an Indi I can relate.

However having read the origional article I don't see any of that bs Truthspatters is foaming about.

The article I read says he just sick of the bipartisan bullshit in the Legislature and he's changing parties.

Where she gets the party over country shit is beyond me.

Truthspatters spatters again. (Good name for her BTW)

he was trusted in battle yet you call him a liar at the drop of a hat without any proof he lied.......... why?

becasue you are a fucking brainless partisan hack

George W Bush was trusted to fly F-102 combat jets for the Texas Air National Guard, yet you call him a liar at the drop of a hat without any proof he lied. Why?

Because you are a fucking racist hyper-partisan hack.

then you didnt read the artilce I posted you hack.

There was evidence Bush lied.

What the hell is an "Unamed Colleague" doing in a supposedly factual article??

Seems to me is you want to be taken seriously you name names. Not "Unamed Colleagues."

then you didnt read the artilce I posted you hack.

HES ON TAPE SAYING IT

Anyone can SAY anything they want if they won't name their sources. It doesn't mean we have to believe them.

For example...

Democrat Party colleagues of mine have told me that they are going to have any Republican voters that show up at the polls in November beaten up by kindergarteners.

Now you HAVE to believe me, because I'm on record saying it.

your party heads have said as much in public you fucking lying sacks of shit

California GOP loses an up-and-comer in Nathan Fletcher - Los Angeles Times

The tipping point for Fletcher came last fall when he negotiated with Gov. Brown to eliminate a corporate tax break that rewarded companies for not building facilities and creating jobs in California. The $1-billion savings would have provided tax breaks for small businesses, buyers of manufacturing equipment and income tax payers who don't itemize. Republicans blocked the bill.

GOP colleagues told Fletcher, he says, that "'it may be the right thing to do, but we can't let Jerry Brown get a win,' which is just dumb."

In "On the Waterfront," the Brando character, an ex-boxer, bemoans that "I coulda had class."

Fletcher had it and still does. But the GOP has lost a contender.

why do you deny what has been said in public could be said to this man in private?

The second article Truthsmatters posted, well. Here it is:

Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher of San Diego last week changed his party affiliation… (Rich Pedroncelli, Associated Press)SACRAMENTO — Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher coulda been a contender, to borrow the classic Marlon Brando line from "On the Waterfront."

He could've been somebody.

He still could, conceivably — somebody who wins the prize of high public office, a senator, a governor — but it apparently won't be while wearing the Republican colors. He tossed them.

Don't see anything about anyone telling this gentlmen to not do his job or the partys sake??

That part must be hidden somwhere. Unless its only in Truthsmatters teeney, tiny brain.

Yes, my child, because little Nathan will not name the "GOP colleagues".

If he was telling the truth, he would sack up and name them.

He won't, because it probably never happened, and he would expose himself to libel suits.

Fuck of you hack.

I did read the rest of the article.

An article written in the LA Times by a lefty who did nothing but throw mud at the GOP through the whole thing. The LA Times. No wonder. No bias there.

No wonder no one takes it seriously.

This is the part I wonder about.

GOP colleagues told Fletcher, he says, that "'it may be the right thing to do, but we can't let Jerry Brown get a win,' which is just dumb."

If true then I wouldn't blame this guy for not playing the game and jumping ship.

Lots of room for doubt though when you consider the source of the article. They have no axe to grind. Like hell they don't.
