    As actual reality shows, you are wrong......armed citizens stop attacks all the time.....and most of them are not armed police officers......

    It would be nice if you actually did some research instead of just making things up....

    The laws were already on the book...you can't commit murder, you can't steal guns, you can't kill kids in a school......he broke all of those laws.....

    What law would have stopped Sandy Hook? Please, list them. The guns were purchased with background checks, they would be licensed and registered since the mother was law abiding......

    He then murdered her, avoiding all of those laws.......

    again, this doctor knew his patient was dangerous and didn't warn anyone. That kind of makes him contemptable.

    Pass a law stating that if you have mentally ill child in your home, you can't have guns in that home.

    Easy peasy.

    A background check on the home would have identified Lanza long before his mother stocked up like the Zombie Apocalypse was coming.

    Psychiatrist Will Not Be Fired After Shooting Murderer in "Gun Free" Hospital - Bearing Arms - Concealed Carry, Gun Free Zone, Guns Saving Lives, pennsylvania

    Mercy Health System posted the following status to their Facebook page (our bold below):

    We are thankful for the swift action of Dr. Lee Silverman, Dr. Jeffrey Dekret, John D’Alonzo and the other colleagues and visitors who took brave and difficult action during yesterday’s tragic event. We extend our condolences to Theresa Hunt’s family, and we are praying for Dr. Silverman’s speedy recovery. We look forward to Dr. Silverman’s return to serving patients at our hospital. We will do all we can to support the victims during this difficult time.

    We continue to work with the Delaware County authorities to understand fully the details of the event. We are reviewing our policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment. We are committed to serving as a compassionate and healing presence in our communities, and we are grateful for the outpouring of community support.
