The utter asinine claim that none of Biden's $6 billion to the terror state of Iran did not go to attack Israel.

You want to buy a new car, and you have the money in the bank to pay for it.
However, after going over your yearly budget thoroughly, you realize you are going to need a lot of that money to pay other essential things.

Out of the blue, your uncle dies, and in his will he is giving you $50K!!!!
Upon closer reading however, he stipulates you MUST spend the money ONLY on essential living expenses, such as rent, food, utility bills.

You go to bed that night heartbroken (you're a Democrat) that you can't spend any of the $50K on a car! You cry yourself to sleep.
Prove it

1) United States Freezes Iranian Funds

The Washington Post is reporting that the United States has entered into an agreement to keep the previously unfrozen Iranian funds (6 billion dollars worth) frozen and to prevent Iran from gaining access to this money. This money became the subject of public scrutiny as many on both sides of the aisle called for the United States to freeze these humanitarian funds following the attacks in Israel. Additionally, this money was used by many Republicans to spread misinformation for their own political benefit. Not a penny of this money was accessed by Iran and none of the money could have been used to fund terror. Instead, the money was unfrozen as a part of a hostage swap weeks ago and was earmarked for humanitarian assistance only. However, with this move, Iran will no longer have access to the funds.

Taking in the Shaw was a no brainer... why would you think we should have caved to 7th century thugs?...

Actually, that is EXACTLY what we should have done. The Shah murdered tens of thousands of Iranians, tortured people, oppressed people, squandered the wealth of the country on lavish palaces and celebrations for himself. He actually needed to answer to his own people for his crimes.

Instead, we took him in, and Iranians had a legitimate fear we were going to do what we did in 1953- put the guy back into power by force.

Trump did the right thing because you don't give money to terrorists...

It wasn't Trump's money to give. We were returning assets that rightfully belonged to Iran. Iran also returned assets that rightfully belonged to the west. The idea is to normalize relations, not isolate Iran and drive it into a camp with Russia and China.

"I would prefer that Iran not have nukes BUT???"
But what?... if Iran ever develops a nuke they will use it...
The only country that ever used a nuke was our own. Against a country that had already been defeated and was desperately seeking a peaceful settlement.

The point was, the Iran treaty had inspectors on site verifying Iran was not building nukes. Trump tanked that deal, and frankly, if I were Iran's leaders, I would be making a nuke right now.

This OP is pure petty “macho posturing” by Republicans. The biggest failure in U.S. policy under either Administration toward Iran in recent years came with the unilateral revocation by the Trump Administration of the international JCPOA accords — which resulted in the collapse & destruction of the “reformist” political wing of the power elite in the Iranian “Islamic Republic” — which had been supported and elected by a majority of the Iranian people.

The assassination of Soleimani and Iraqi militiamen and leaders who had invited him into that country, the return of extreme Mullah oppression in Iran, the subsequent exhaustion of the politically leaderless but huge popular protests against the Muslim morality police … followed our rejection of the JCPOA almost inevitably.

This sort of idiotic domestic “macho posturing” — by politicians in both parties — makes intelligent foreign impossible in the Middle East and toward Iran. Many politicians in both parties capitulated to the extreme rightwing Netanyahu government and to what was in fact idiotic self-defeating Zionist pressure on both major American parties.

None of this is to excuse the Iranian Mullah regime or the barbaric Palestinian Hamas attack on Israeli civilians.

While the long-term & complex “Palestinian Question” was likely not fully resolvable through diplomatic pressure from the U.S.even with a better U.S. policy, in my opinion the U.S.-Iran confrontation, now some 55 years old, could have and should have been dramatically ameliorated with a wiser U.S. approach.

You don't give money to terrorist's even if its their money fool... because they use it to kill people... that's why it was taken from them to keep them from doing harm in the world.... its like the entire left has forgotten 9-11....

Iran is a sovereign state, and they have a right to their own assets. International courts have ruled repeatedly that money should be returned.

Iran is a terrorist state... they terrorize their own population and they fund the killing of innocent people around the world... so go for it and jump on their side.... at your own peril....
