MOGADISHU, Somalia — In a stealthy seaside assault in Somalia and in a raid in Libya’s capital, U.S. special forces on Saturday struck out against Islamic extremists who have carried out terrorist attacks in East Africa, snatching a Libyan al-Qaida leader allegedly involved in the bombings of U.S. embassies 15 years ago but aborting a mission to capture a terrorist suspect linked to last month’s Nairobi shopping mall attack after a fierce firefight.

Now what was your point?

The point is they did not tell the reason why the mission was a failure...in fact they did not even admit it was a failure.

It seems they were afraid there would be civilian casualties.............oh geez ...yeh lets not hurt any of their civilian whilst trying to to kill one of their bad boys.

Also....apparently too few operatives were inserted....someone goofed up....heavy resistance was not expected ...why? Too much gunfire might harm civilians...oh wow...so politically correct.

In a nutshell this harks back to the days of Clinton when specials ops were so incompetent...I thought we were supposed to be buch better now......sounds like to me some pentagon lawyer of a civilian stripe was overseeing this operation and micro-managing it.

Perhaps with Valerie Jarret overlooking his sholder..................there needs to be A Tea Party Invest tea gation in regards to this mission.....how can our leaders have any credibility when they refuse to tell the American People the truth?
