To toast the Halloween season, here's an activism-parody vignette.

Who says eco-activism can't be...a treat?

Happy Halloween!

A Halloween 'fan' wore a strange clear mask and brown or tan outfit and gloves and pranced around near the White House the night before Halloween. This unnamed 'stranger' carried a glowing LED-lit pumpkin and believed Halloween was an 'omen' for eco-terrorism, since he was very paranoid about what industrialization and consumerism were doing to the autumn harvest. The Stranger was considered to be a Halloween spook, and he performed his eccentric 'eco-consciousness' gesture 3 Halloweens in-a-row before the Secret Service thought he might be a threat to President Trump.

The Stranger went to the White House on the 4th Halloween (actually, the night right before Halloween Eve) and did his usual lit-pumpkin dance in front of the House lawn, but this time, he was joined by a troop of 'allies' dressed as masked policemen! The White House security officials were wary, and the White House PR secretary issued a special statement --- "We believe the Stranger and his band of 'masked policemen' fanatics are concerned about what petroleum-economics are doing to the Earth." The Stranger was irked.

The next day (Halloween Day) countless copies of the photos of the White House 'dance' with the Stranger and the masked 'policemen' were posted on Facebook, and President Trump said to the press, "There's no reason we have to equate Halloween with unruly masked protests! Both me and the First Lady care deeply about Samhain, the autumn harvest, and of course, Halloween!" The Stranger was never seen again, but everyone remembered his strange 'White House dance' and likened him in pulp-fiction literature to the Headless Horseman!
