After Voting No, Republicans Tout Funds - WSJ.com

GOP lawmakers tout projects in the stimulus bill they opposed | McClatchy

Unless you can provide evidence that the information on Huffpo is faulty then you are an idiot for laughing.. Don't challenge me in providing the same about Faux Noise!! I can and will..

So what is really funny here is that you were to stupid to realize that someone put up some real accurate information.. As you can see which was verified by more links to the same.. I can provide even more..

None the less, you ignored the point of my message in attemp to score political points and make yourself appear to be informed which you are not..

Provide evidence that Huff is a bad source of information or you have nothing to say about it..

:lol::lol::lol::lol: Damn, you are a whiner.
A fool also.

Its been clear since the OP that the story handed to us by the gov doesn't match the job losses and struggling economy, yet that moron keeps quoting GOVERNMENT people claiming the 'stimulous is working.'

Aparcheks never get it, they just repeat what the party tells them to say over and over.

i read the CBO report that claims over a million jobs were created and was astounded by the lack of actual facts to back that assertion up. it was basically hocus pocus and extreme guestimation. what people continually miss is the fact that overall we have had a net loss of jobs, and not net creation of jobs.

And just what facts do you have that the CBO doesn't have?? Where do you get your facts?? Links pls..

Cereal boxes are not considered reputable..

Nor is Faux Noise..

Nor is Newsmax..

Limit yourself to reputable sources that the CBO did not have access too and only you did..

Tinfoil hats are reputable.. :eusa_whistle:

s0n..........only the OCD lefty internet k00ks think the stimulus worked. Nobody else. Most people do get their info from something like a cereal box, which has told the story that the stimulus was an abject failure by any reasonable measure.

Thats the political reality s0n.............and the only thing that matters. But you go right ahead and search the nether regions of the internet and find something to support your view. Go right ahead but...........................

IHS Global Insight and Moody's Economy.com have estimated the stimulus has added 1.6 to 1.8 million jobs to the economy.

Two completely independent analyses.

US Jan mass layoffs edge up on weak manufacturing

The Labor Department said the number of mass layoff actions -- defined as job cuts involving at least 50 people from a single employer -- increased by 35 to 1,761. Mass layoffs had trended lower since August.

A total of 182,261 workers were affected last month. In January, 486 mass layoff events were reported in manufacturing, resulting in 62,556 workers filing claims for state unemployment benefits. It was the first increase in mass layoffs in manufacturing since August.

No 'jobs' created and only bloated state and fed payrolls helped by the biggest ripoff of taxpayers ever, the 'stimulous.'

So much for the recovery.

keep saying it....sooner or later you might believe it. The rest of us know better though.

Yes, why are you fool enough to not believe what is right in front of you but instead believe two web sites nobody ever heard of?

And yes, we all know you googled looking for some support for something we all know failed.

The 'rest of you' are the Barry anus patrol that believes everything that simp tells you.

MOST Americans however realize we have an incompitent chief exec who is running the economy further into the ground through his pointless and reckless spending.

What a fucking jackass, MORE people are out of work, and he thinks that is good news.

When people start GAINING employment it is good news, not more people out of work.

These news probably came as "surprise to the government" especially after they announced last month that they plan to create 95,000 jobs each month. I'm wondering what went wrong...

That's nice. It's 320,000 short of the monthly job growth rate we need to recover employment when adjusted for population growth.

Since the start of the recession in December 2007, the labor market has shed 8.4 million payroll jobs. This number, however, understates the size of the gap in the labor market by failing to take into account continuing population growth: the labor market should have added around 2.7 million jobs since December 2007 to accommodate this growth. This means the labor market is now roughly 11.1 million jobs below what would be needed to restore the pre-recession unemployment rate. In order to fully fill in this 11.1 million job gap in the labor market in the next three years (by February 2013), employment would have to increase by 415,000 jobs every month between now and then. (Note: The methodology for calculating the size of the gap and what would be needed to fill it can be found at the end of this report.)

Job market stuck on ‘‘pause’’

Of course, the fact that any 'job' with the government adds to the problem and not corrects it is another issue.

That's the most economically illiterate statement I've read on these boards. I see you have no clue how economics work. Though a bunch or goverment jobs may not be philosophically desirable, the fact is that government payrolls actually create private sector jobs. Where do you think government workers eat, shop, buy groceries, cars, homes? At the goverment cafe, the goverment department store, the government grocery store, the goverment auto dealership, and the government real estate agent? I can understand your claiming to be a conservative even a republican; but none of that gives you a license to be stupid.

As for exactly how many jobs the stimulus has created and/or saved, I don't think anyone will EVER be able to give you an exact figure. We don't keep statistics that way. Never have and probably won't for a while.

Wow, another person who thinks there's a free lunch. Why not just add millions of currently unemployed people to gov't payroll and watch the dividends roll in?
For someone obviously clueless about economics you should not be accusing others of that.
The issue is not an exact count of jobs created by the stimulus. The issue is how they get to whatever figure they did. In this case it appears to be anecdotal evidence bolstered by many many assumptions, most of them circular, e.g. spending creates jobs and we've spent lots of money. Ergo we've created lots of jobs.
I'd like to see how many jobs the stimulus has cost from higher anticipated taxes.

The stimulus has thus far saved mostly government jobs that exist in State governments, local governments, and NGOs and for pfofits that get their funding from governments.

It doesn't appear to have CREATED many jobs, though.

It wasn't billed or sold as a program to meet state payrolls for over blaoted state govs, but that is what is now championed.
