Though a bunch or goverment jobs may not be philosophically desirable, the fact is that government payrolls actually create private sector jobs. Where do you think government workers eat, shop, buy groceries, cars, homes? At the goverment cafe, the goverment department store, the government grocery store, the goverment auto dealership, and the government real estate agent? I can understand your claiming to be a conservative even a republican; but none of that gives you a license to be stupid.

As for exactly how many jobs the stimulus has created and/or saved, I don't think anyone will EVER be able to give you an exact figure. We don't keep statistics that way. Never have and probably won't for a while.

That is a quarter of a million private sector jobs. The Census jobs are a separate category.

So government had the guts, with all the money, with the private sector fairly sissy by comparison.

There are, timidly, some new private sector jobs. Then there are some hearty new private sector jobs. Republicans understand stuff like that, unless they don't!

Anyone will notice in the actual report of what happened, ended Feb. 20, that lots of additional paper was located, some people were taking snow days at the new claims offices, and that extended claims actually fell about 300,000. Those are the Totally Destroyed Jobs that the GOP Tea Partiers destroyed, intending harm of Americans.

"Sissies Owning Businesses," SOB's, failed to appreciate that State and Local government jobs had to be saved and created(?) first. These are the real work of filing, sorting, counting, taking breaks, lunch, and running down to the union hall to check on the current status of the benefits.

Potty Time is in there, too. Without enough of that, then clearly the new claims couldn't be counted on time. For sure, the SOB's were going to do it. They have already shown that they hate Americans, preferring to hoard money instead--and force it to convert to other currencies.

Hollywood, actually, understands a great deal about other currencies! It approaches the 'On location' levels of understanding that make movies anywhere else but there!
