I’ve mentioned this in a couple threads but can’t come up with a better plan.
When an unaccompanied child shows up at our border we take them within a day or two to their home countries embassy and drop them off. If they had a parent who is serving some time they will arrive there when the sentence is served. They can do whatever they want with their people. Find the kids family back home and get them there. Wait for the parent or don’t, not our problem.
We can have flights daily from California making stops along the way until the plane is full then just bus them over to where they need to go. Drop them off and our problem is solved.
If we put the cost of care back on their home country this shit will stop. Fast. Make them deal with their own citizens.
