The Rush Limbaugh "Phony Fluke" Controversy

Well, the Republicans have done it again with all this bullshit. They've refocused their minions onto social issues and away from what people really care about: jobs and the economy. They have no answers and the GOP leaders don't care. They just want to win in November so they can line their pockets and keep their lobbyists happy.

So roll everything back to 1972. Looks like it's working. Republicans are idiots.

» Hypocrisy on Capitol Hill: Deconstructing a Dishonest Speech About Birth Control - Big Government

I don't care how many threads have been started about this, I'm going to say my piece.

When I heard Sandra Fluke's speech about having so much sex in law school she needs to spend a thousand bucks a year on birth control. My, instant response (before I heard Rush's broadcast) was "WHAT KIND OF WHORE GOES TO CAPITAL HILL AND TELLS PEOPLE 'I'M SUCH A SLUT, I NEED THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY A THOUSAND BUCKS ON BIRTH CONTROL.'"

I'm married and I don't spend a thousand bucks a year on birth control.

So how much DO you spend? Doctor's visits, tests, lab work and 12 months of birth control pills will easily go over $1000 a year.

Did you not have sex until you married your stud boy? Really? If you had premarital sex then were you a "SLUT", too.

And Sandra Fluke was testifying that she wanted her insurance to cover her medical costs, not pinheaded rightwing cretins, like you. Why don't you listen to Fluke's statement instead of your far rightwing nut pundits? Oh, that's right....you're a neocon. Get your head out of the 60's, sister. We know that's when you bought your diaphragm.

Can't you see how the far right cannot get past this because most of them are men and they spend so much time looking down and their incompetent little member they need to lash out as someone.
Men, so called, with little boy equipment.

You left out "Angry White Men".

Let's be consistant now.

It's not government infringing on religious liberties.

It's Red-Neck Bible-Thumpers clinging to their guns and religion.

What better target for the left to attack.

God-Damned principled SOBs.

Obama apologized for torching 4 Qurans but won't apologized for burning the First Amendment.

without the spin.......

Last month it was revealed that the new healthcare law was going to force the Catholic Church to do what President Obama priomised it wouldnt do.

So the Catholic Church brought it to the forefront.

Whereas the President DID seem to care about the conern of the Catholic Church, it appeared that the democrats in congress didnt give a crap about the fact that the Catholic Church was concerned , but the GOPers in congress felt it was their job to address the issue and not simply let it "get tossed under the rug"...

The GOP candidates were then questioned by reporters as to what their position was on the situation.....and they answered...and keep on answering everytime they are asked.

And if there were democrats running in primaries, they would have been asked the same thing.

In the meantime, the GOP candidates continue to talk about the issues that matter to all such as gas prices, the economy, the debt and the lack of a budget.

You just dont want to hear that stuff....but they are talking plenty about that stuff.

There...that was without the spin.

FYI...if one needs to incorproate spin into a debate in an effort to win a debate, then one is not confident in the position they hold.

FYI....

No one in the GOP is saying that if you need to go to the GYN, the insurance should not pay for it.
But if you want to get BC, pay for it yourself.

If you cant afford the process involved in getting a diaphram fit, or an IUD, or the checkups involced in taking the pill...then fall back on the $1.00 condom at your own cost.

Sure...it may not be "the same"....but driving a Ford is not the same as driving a Mercedes...but if you cant afford the mercedes, thenj you fall back on the ford.

This has nothing to do with ?medeical necessities"...

It has to do with maximizing pleasure while engaging in sex.

Sure...condoms suck pleasure wise...sorry.....so does having to wear a couderoy coat instead of a fur coat in 20 degree weather.

They are talking........more like whining.......alright. They ain't offering solutions, though. And....nobody has to prod Santorum into talking about this issue. He's all over it.

That you are banging on someone else for introducing spin.........in that post.....is lots of fun for the reader.

you are wrong. Snatorum was asked several times...his answers were spun...so he announced how he felt and why he fel;t it.
Now he is asked nearly every day.

You see them as whining...that in itself speaks volumes of the integrity of your posts.

Anyone who sits on the board and says "the GOP are idiots" or "the GOP are whiners" or "the GOP wants you to enjoy rape" or "the GOP hates the poor" or the GOP only care about the rich"....that person is a prtisan hack who has no integrity whatsoever....lkike you.

And before you lash out at me.....I dare you to find a single post of mine where I call Obama a socialist, a kenyan or a marxist..and I dare you to find one post where I refer to any democratic politician as an idiot, or a dolt, or a child....or anything.

I offer nothing but true respect for the liberal ideology.....becuase I understand it....I dont agree with it....but I understand it.

You? Seems you and many others cirticize what you dont underdstand.

Go for it if it works for you.....please....continiue.....

Sorry.....but I just can't understand the priorities of Conservatives

They state that their fundamental social objection is abortion. Morally, I see where they are coming from

But here we have the primary mechanism for preventing unwanted pregnancy and resulting abortions

But what do conservatives do? They scream.....I don't want MY insurance paying for YOUR birth control

Makes zero sense

the problem is you are ignoring the reason for the objection.

They are not saying they dont want insurance to pay for it.

They are saying THEY DONT WANT GOVERNMENT SAYING THAT INSURASNCE MUST PAY FOR IT

Sadly, it has been spun into what you see it as.

It all has to do with the GOVERNMENT MANDATE.

If an insuracne company wants to pay for it and make their policy look better....great....then they will do it.

But if one doesnt want to do it...why should they have to?

this is amusing...

This the last ditch tactic liberals have when nothing else works.

They try to claim they are winning anyway and they are "amused" thus trying to have the last word.

It's most pathetic AND THE MOST TRANSPARENT.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

hmm all this from "amusing".....

i guess the point went over your head as usual.

No, first from calling me a moron, to falling back to amusing.

I guess you libs don't have a idea how transparent you are.

But conservatives are perfectly fine with a government mandate that women can't have an abortion

For 40 years, that has been their primary tactic in preventing abortions.Ban abortion, put impediments on the way of abortion, humiliate women who decide to get an abortion.........all by government mandate

Guess what? It's been 40 years and abortion is here to stay

What is the best way to reduce abortions? Prevention and giving women alternatives

But somehow, Conservatives resist every program that will do just that

Planned Parenthood, open access to birth control, Sex education, low cost childcare........all opposed by conservatives

This is hilarious. This is like a killer firing first and then calling anyone that fires back a killer.

The libs start this BS and WE are the ones starting it because we reply?

We didn't go to Capital Hill saying we want ban contraceptives. The libs went up there.

Hilarious attempt to deflect, but not going to work.

Sure..that is a debate as to weather or not it is murder. Many see it as, many dont...and there are VERY VALID arguments for both.

But mandating a company MUST offer a service even if it doesnt want to is basic intrusion into commerce by the government....it is not becuase of a disagreement on the definition of wghen life begins.

PREVENTING abortion is the key.

Republican positions get in the way of preventing abortion and this stand against contraception is one of the most bizarre

RW....their position is not one of being against contraception.

Their position as politicians is against government mandating that an insurance company MUST offer contraception.

They are not saying insurance companies SHOULDNT offer copntraception.

It got muddiedWen the candidates were asked if they believe in contraception.

Many dont. and they said so.

But no where are they saying insurance comnpanies shouldnt offer it. The are saying government shouldnt FORCE insurance companies to offere it.

And I ageree.

that is not what I said.

You find me any proposed legislation over the years that was presented by the GOP asking that insurance companies NOT be allowed to offer contraception if it wanted to.

If there is any, I doubt it had much GOP support.

What I am saying is that this has to be about freeddom of choice.

The Presidentr compromised with the Catholic Church by saying that insurance companies MUST, by law, sell a service...even if it doesnt want to.

That is freedom of choice being trampled on.

Should the government have the right to tell all attorneys that regardless of whether you agree with the plaintiff...if they want to hire you, you MUST take them on as a client?

Why on earth should anyone else or government pay for your recreational entertainment??

Now if a company, with leadership or ownership having beliefs against contraception, should have every right to decide what EXTRA BENEFITS it offers to its employees.. and the employees have the right to choose whether or not to work there and the right to pay for contraception themselves.... they do NOT have a right to FORCE the company against its beliefs, even with government backing...

This is not about 'my insurance' paying for 'your birth control'

idiot
