The "RINO" Thread

Just finished selling the 2nd chord of fire wood today Joe.
I cut 34 sections out of a dead tree I cut down this morning and busted it all up by hand.
Hauled it with my trailer up to the road and sold it to a neighbor.
Does that make me a "working man"Joe?
I got my hands dirty.
Betcha big $$ I could work circles around you at age 58.
Sharpen the chain is $6, I used about $5 worth of fuel and oil and sold it for $200.
Took me 5 1/2 hours.
Plutocrat is still hell with a Husqvarna!

Yawn, guy you are taking it all very personally... aren't you?

Look, in real life, you might even be a decent person. WHy you act like a douchebag on the internet is your own business.

So I AM a working person in Joe's eyes!!
Yay!
Made my year!!

I've been trying for the last several days on various threads to get a right-winger to explain precisely how the party is going to be successful in elections if they are able to rid themselves of "RINOs" and moderates. Seems like a pretty reasonable question.

No luck so far. Maybe this thread will do it.

.

Dems have gotten rid of conservatives in their party for the last twenty years, off an on, (more off than on), now they are working on the moderates, yet they still get elected.

My brother is a "conservative". We have decided to avoid discussing politics at family gatherings in order to keep things pleasant. He struggles with this, however.

Yesterday, my daughter.....who is his favoriite niece, was talking about a freind of hers who recently passed away after a half-year fight with cancer. She told him that she heard that we would probably find a cure for cancer before long.....expressing hope for the future.

Well, he exclaimed, " I hope not".

My daughter was rocked. She asked him why he felt that way. Her voice trembled.

He said that we don't have enough money to support our population as it is and we can't afford to have cancer cured.

Not sure things will ever be the same between them.

uh that's not a conservative position.......it's a crazy left wing position that sees humans as parasites and the population control crowd (Ted Turner for example) are LWs, so lets understand the dynamics man.....

dealing with robotic liberals and their insane ideas, can make you SEEM like a douchebag.......especially dealing with fake republicans like Joe B.....never was a republican, claims he wants a return ro eisenhower republicans, but then every single position you take is left wing.....doesnt add up hombre.

I don't know about Joe B being a liberal, I'd say he's closer to a centralist/moderate.
Interestingly, that group is what the GOP desperately needs to appeal to, that group was the largest voting bloc in 2012. And of course, I'm a proud pragmatic moderate. :D

uh where do you get that? I have yet to see him disagree with liberals on a single issue, maybe I missed it......

economics, he's a union and socialist lover
abortion he's pro death...er choice
gays.....maybe on this one, but I bet money he's for gay marriage
guns....he's for gun control
foreign policy....liberals are now the isolationists...when crazies can get nukes, I'm interventionist on that...

so I'm not sure where he would be a republican, even an eisenhower one.

Just stay strong and true to your beliefs. Get back to Conservative/Constitutional Roots, and the winning will come. Sometimes it's best to weed out the weak and wobbly. And yes, you will likely lose some Elections, but that's a price you have to pay to rebuild the Party. Things change, people change. One day the Nation will grow tired of this Socialist/Progressive Nanny/Police State. I truly believe that day will come. It may be awhile, but it will come.

Not that I'm an expert on Ike, but in today's world he would be classified a moderate.
Under Ike, our government used the government driven infrastructure development (interstate highway system) to get the economy rolling and then there's his Industrial-Military Complex speech (which was right on the money,,,no pun).

The US is still the least socialistic country in the world and that's after five years of Obama!
Some folks here need to understand what real socialism is, many throw the word around and are completely clueless.

LOL, yeah I agree, but Ike also said Earl Warren, was the biggest mistake he made....which means he didnt like alot of his court decisions......and I think people would be suprised...Ike was before the counterculture.....which I'm pretty sure he'd destest......but again Joe B doesnt even take positions consistant with Ike. Conservatives like me have no problem with infastructure, but I'd rather outsource it

C. C. Myers - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In 1994, the Northridge earthquake in Southern California damaged four bridges on the Santa Monica Freeway in Los Angeles. C.C. Myers, Inc. won the contract to replace them. The contract specified that the work had to be completed in 140 days, and the State of California, understanding the loss to the LA economy that was caused by the freeway being down, offered a $200,000 per day bonus for each day prior to the 140 days that the bridge opened. With the cooperation and extra effort from Caltrans, the City of Los Angeles, the workers, and even the citizens of LA, the company completed the job in 66 days, a full 74 days ahead of schedule. The $14.8M bonus is the largest early completion bonus paid by Caltrans. The closure of the freeway was estimated to cost the economy of the area as much as $1M per day.[5]

Why doesnt that happen more often? In Memphis it took them a decade to build an on ramp.

The issue is we're moving to it....and I dont want it....it's crap...I dont want to have my kids take a test and be placed in a career.....that happens in Europe all the time....Freedom isnt always efficient....and I'm ok with that.

Quit running around as if your hair is on fire: this is not happening. And look up "socialism".

I don't think Ike would have been opposed to national healthcare, sort of like in the military, which would put him at odds with neoliberalism, as in sweden, where taxpayers may fund it, but the govt don't provide it, and providers compete to get the most beneficiaries to pay them their voucher or whatever.

It seems to me Romney spoke the tea party language with the 47% thing. It's socialism to be on soc sec. It's socialism to have a kid on Schips. i dunno where they draw the line. Is it socialism to have a kid in taxpayer supported daycare or after school care?

RINO REAGAN's REVOLUTION REVEALED

Public Law 94-12, the Earned Income Tax Credit, a tax credit for low-income taxpayers, was signed into law on March 29, 1975 by the last President who might once have been an actual Republican and the first corporate-owned RINO president, Geraldo Ford. It may have been a favor for a friend; Nixon having proposed the EITC, along with affirmative action and single payer national health during his presidency.

The EITC maximum per family that year was $400. How it works to this day is that when the EITC exceeds the amount of taxes owed, a tax refund for the balance is paid by US taxpayers to qualifying applicants. In sum, families making less than a set amount were paid up to $400 by US taxpayers for doing nothing except breeding and paying some income tax during the tax year.

It stayed close to $400/year max per family until July 1984 when famous small government conservative NeoConRon Reagan crowed, "This is the best anti-poverty, the best pro-family, the best job creation measure to come out of Congress," as he enthusiastically signed Public Law 98-369 to increase the EITC maximum to $550 per family. The simpering motherfucker was so into it he probably left a wet spot on the chair.

Not satisfied with such a paltry one-time increase, the One True RINO signed Public Law 99-514 in 1986 to increase the EITC to a maximum of $850 and in case his successor was less willing to fuck taxpayers, schedule increases to a maximum of $950 in 1990. NeoConRon RINO needn't have worried; in 1990 when $850 per family didn't seem like enough of a corporate subsidy the Bobbleheaded One's successor, Pap Bush, signed Public Law 101-508 which over three years increased the maximum to $1,500 per family.

In 1975 the cost of the EITC to US taxpayers was less than $2kkk. By the time that ratty little cocksucker from Tejas left office in 2008 the EITC cost to taxpayers was more than $40kkk. No question fake-liberal social fascists like Clinton embraced EITC, but the Republicans inflicted the EITC onto US taxpayers and Republicans increased it regularly even as they criticized welfare programs. In sum the record is clear, RINOs created and supported EITC for the purpose of subsidizing corporations seeking throw-away labor.

What else have filthy lowlife RINO cocksuckers like Reagan and Junebug Bush done to disgrace the party of Lincoln, Calvin Coolidge and IKE?

Your thoughts?

The Democrats all through the campaign said Romney was the candidate they feared, they could hardly get any interest in fighting him hard at all. Then they showed in the fall that wow, it wasn't a problem for them.

The bottom line is how do you win an election by picking a guy the Democrats object to less than a conservative? Liberals may dislike the liberal Republican less, but they're still going to vote for the Democrat. And the actual conservatives don't care. So really, a liberal Republican has no one to support them. If everyone who voted for McCain, who's no conservative, had voted for Romney, Romney would have won...

The great American center and right of center will not give a majority to a reactionary candidate like a Bachmann or a Perry.

They would get a lower % that McCain and Romney.

Thus, the GOP has to ignore the far, far right while reaching toward the center.
