The right's hatred for Obama: If it isn't "race", then what is it?

The way some on the left talks about Obama it is like a CULT.

and he is Jim Jones.

I thought it was pretty pathetic how a President was was supposed
to be the smartest man to allow himself to walk among us mere mortals
needed to use a teleprompter to a class of third graders which this president did
early in his term.Maybe that was interesting for some of us.

Thanks for posting that

It is another racist lie invented by the rightwing to explain how a black man can be a good public speaker

you sure are stretching the good ole race card now. who can take you serious?

Reagan and Bush used teleprompters.

Why oh why is it an "issue" now?

Anybody can USE a teleprompter.

The current President is close to totally reliant on them.

I do believe that is the distinction.

You have studied Alinsky well daveman....that is why you set such a fine example for all Alinsky Republicans

"Teleprompter"

Gawd, I'm such a fucking racist for saying that.

:lmao:

Any allusion to the fact that President Obama is heavily reliant on teleprompters MUST be "racist," since ... uhm ...

the President is a black man.

And noting that he's a black man must also be "racist."
Well, when I've seen several morons claim that "critical thought" is a right-wing concept, I can understand the rationale that 'teleprompter' is a racist term.

"Critical thought" must be a right-wing concept, because the left so rarely practices it. :eusa_whistle:

God, the preservation of the institution of marriage, the view that affirmative action is reverse discrimination and concern over 2nd amendment rights are all valid issues. Appealing to morality and the Left's abhorrence of religion is every bit as proper as using abortion rights as a campaign plank.
Accusing the GOP of racism is laughable! You do realize that barack obama would be flipping burgers in Honolulu if he was white, don't you?
We would have never heard of the man had his father been white. There is nothing special about him other than the Left's perception of his as the first electable black.
Biden summed it all up rather nicely:

While I'm not much of a fan of Obama's policies, I'd have to assume he'd still be doing fairly well if he was white. His family had enough money to send him to Punahou for his early schooling, which is both the most expensive and probably the most prestigious school in the state. You get reasonable grades coming out of there and you're guaranteed acceptance to a good college, on top of which you don't pass their entrance exams without a pretty solid IQ. He might not have gotten the DNC nomination if he was a white guy, and in my opinion we'd probably be putting up posts about the first female president and debating Hillary's politics, but I'm pretty sure that with all the anti-GWB sentiment flying around, that nomination, even for a white Obama, would have been an automatic ticket into the White House.

That Biden quote. . . HAHAHA! Seeing career Politicians spout off rhetoric contrary to the core principals of their party always makes me happy in some way or another.

I disagree. Had obama had 2 white parents, Illinois State Senator would have been a stretch. There is really nothing special other than his complexion that would distinguish him from any other Punahou graduate and nothing so special that would even have gained him admission there.
There are thousands of Democrats as articulate, intelligent, attractive and clean. Anyone can come up with lofty promises of hope and change.
There's nothing really special about the man, well other than the fact that his mother's name was Stanley.

Yeah, I'd say you're probably right as far as fame and political success on anywhere near the scale we've seen. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that he'd have ended up as a middle-grade but well paid civil rights lawyer, presupposing that these white parents raised him with the same philosophical ideals as did his actual parents.

I never saw anybody claim that "critical thought" is a right-wing "concept."

But, then again, I'll confess: I am not even certain I know what it is they are trying to claim.

You guys don't think critically. You regurgitate talking points. Unable to discuss in depth any subject. For example, you can't discuss global warming or evolution to a person who doesn't even comprehend the facts, science and logic.

Fox News and Rush have you middle class conservatives brainwashed. They got you voting against your own financial interests. They fucked you just like they screwed the rest of us and you still defend them. Look at the catholics who stayed catholic after finding out the pope himself was covering up pedophile rape. Talk about loyal. Hose slave mentality.

If Sillybozo was talking to and about left-wingers, then his post would have some merit.

But as things stand, sillybozo is just regurgitating mindless lib talking pointlesses and fantasy stereotypes.

Speak of the devil, and up he pops.

A lot of you middle class Republicans think you got it better than the average guy so even though the GOP screwed you, you have been brainwashed to think the alternative is socialism, when in reality it is the robber barons that have been selling off America piece by piece. Sending jobs overseas, crashing the housing market and the financial market. You had to have been affected? Unless you are rich? Because the top 1% actually did great in the last 10 years. Maybe you are in the top 1%? If you are not, wake up.
