No one is pushing wealth to the top. People at the top are earning it. And in the grand scheme, the entire country got rich as shit off capitalism. In the global market, our system made us so fucking rich that our poor people have an obesity problem, and our poor are amongst the 5% richest humans on Earth.

It's the mere envy of our lower class towards the upper class that is causing all the problems.

But keep supporting socialism and communism. Eventually, our country WON'T be any richer than the rest of the world, and our "poor" will truly be poor, like Nigerian or Indonesian poor, not like Oklahoma or Ohio poor.

There is a reason that Envy is one of the deadly sins. You left wingers need to stop practicing it.

The things that we view as entitlements and we shrink from cutting are things that one hundred years ago no citizen would have thought appropriate for the federal government to be doing. Jefferson and most of the other founders felt that a mans money was as inviolable has his life since he came by his earnings through the sweat and toil of his own labor. Now, the left thinks nothing of instigating class warfare against the "rich." And, the "rich" is always some nebulous "them" who are the source of "our" problems.

edit: before someone decides to twist what I am saying to suit some other purpose, I am not talking about the Wall Street bankers, the Golman Sachs leeches. They can all be lined up against a wall and shot for all I care. I am talking about government's need to create a nebulous, nameless enemy that is the source of "our" problems. An "attack" is to physically attempt to harm someone or to literally take their private property from them.

An "attack" is not defined as no longer giving someone something for free. If I've been feeding my neighbor's dog for 1 month for free....then stop feeding the dog for free...I'm not attacking the dog. I'm telling me neighbor "Feed your own damn dog."

Since when is the promotion of self-reliance an "attack"? If anything, we're promoting people's ability to be more free.

However, higher taxes would be closer to an "attack", as the government then is demanding more of your property be given over to the government, with the possibility of men with guns being sent to force cooperation with that confiscation.

So who is "attacking" people, and who is simply cutting off the free lunch?

Blood sucking tics view any attempt to remove the source of their nourishment as an "attack."

But the thought of spending any of it on people in this country sends you into fits. Of course, that would make sense to Conservative America - but whether anyone likes it or not, the Federal government is going to continue spending our money however, whenever and wherever it sees fit. Personally, I'm not particularly pleased that they've spent trillions thousands of miles away in a country populated with many who even now would be just as happy to see us dead. But typical Wingnut logic dictates that's not a problem either.

By the way for your edification - I worked for 56 years and paid FICA for every one of them. To the great uninformed out there FICA is synonymous with Social Security. So I don't consider all the money I've paid for all those years to be the government's money nor do I consider now that I'm getting some of it back that I'm getting welfare. For someone who seems so concerned about this subject, I'd think you'd be just a tad better informed about whose money it is.

And truth be known, all of it is taxpayers' money. The last time I checked the government isn't in business to make a profit - although many in government certainly do profit. But that probably doesn't bother you either. Bush's excesses are as responsible for this debauchery as is any other President who has ever held the office. And what I do know is that he left us with a trillion dollar war debt and gave billions of our tax dollars to the criminals on Wall Street so they could continue the fleecing of America - which you Conservatives seem to enjoy - probably because you don't have a clue about what's really going on or so it would seem.
