Apparently the Fathers of the Revolution counted on the republican system as a transitional period to the Patrician system.

Rome went through 3 stages: Patrician Rome, Republic and Slavery.

The Republic as a transitional stage must progress towards patricianism and not towards slavery. Therefore, the plebeian elements of democracy must die out, and the Senate must be strengthened.

There is absolutely no evidence that the Founding Fathers counted on our system being a transitional one. The US Constitution is explicit in it's description of our system of gov't.

Only by constitutional amendment can that be changed. And you would have a hard time convincing 3/4 of the population to do so.

The founding fathers created a new nation. While they did not allow for the freedom of slaves and women, they did build a way for that to happen, via constitutional amendment.

And they did not return to slavery, unless you have created a new meaning for the word.

Actually it is not. Both the USA and other countries of the Spring of Nations were conceived as free states. Jefferson was against slavery, and Washington was not the father of the United States, he ruled before the Declaration.

There is something wrong, some kind of manipulation. The Declaration of Independence was written by Jefferson, while Washington was the federalist British litter and saved of the interests of the slave owners. He is not the father of the USA

Washington also was a brilliant military leader and won our independence. He built a strong federal gov't, and made sure it was financed. He was elected president twice by unanimous electoral vote. He refused to run for a 3rd term. His Farewell Speech is considered a classic example of republicanism.

Jefferson was certainly one of the founding fathers. He is arguably the greatest of them.

But simply because someone was not the greatest founding father, does not mean they were not one of the founding fathers who built the foundation for this great nation.

Also, you praise Jefferson for his writing of the US Constitution. But you dislike the US Constitution.
