These scientist like James Hansen have spent 30-35 years within there field and have worked there fucking ass off to have risen to the top. He must of spent more then a decade in colleges working his ass off to get into the field and to get his degree's behind him. I mean why the fuck did he go into a field and bust his ass off just to turn around in piss all over it? It disgusts me and the whole science that some one that has devoted his life towards it would work to destroy it.

What the fuck drives someone to do this?

I wish I knew. The whole field of climatology is riddled with these folks and it is tragic because they really could be doing things to help.

And we are supposed to give any credance at all to two dunces dissing people who are in the tops of their fields?

Just more incredibly stupid yap-yap, without a single peice of evidence to back up the baseless assertations.

It would have been nice to explain yourself better and provide a link in the original post. Not all of us can read minds.
You talking about this guy?
James Hansen and Climate Change; NASA’s Disgrace
Public image is a major concern for NASA, so why have they allowed James Hansen, Director of their Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) to act as he has? There is now evidence suggesting the problem has gone on for a long time; “the equation upon which all Global Warming Theory studies are built is inherently flawed.” They then make a mostdevastaing claim “Worse, however, than the flaw in the equation, is that this fact has remained covered up by NASA from the first Lunar landing until now, nearly 41 years.”
Just because someone has worked at something his whole life doesn't mean it's correct or that it will even work.

You've heard of the "Military Industrial Complex", well don't you think there could be a "Global Warming Industrial Complex"?

I'm a huge NASA supporter and an advocate of continued space exploration. But it seems to me a lot of people in NASA don't want the government "Glo-Bull Warming Research" gravy train to stop and will do anything to keep it flowing. And that includes smearing people and destroying their careers.

I dunno....Maybe the same thing that drove the Catholic Church to send Galileo to the Inquisition and convict him of heresy?

Perhaps if the industrial sector is all right with pricing carbon.
The ones who can afford to pay certainly are...Then again, rich socialists are all about using gubmint compulsion to keep competitors to a bare minimum.

See: the FDA.

I was under the impression even the strictest libertarian accepts certain key roles for government, including enforcing contracts and pricing externalities.

They are... until it effects them personally.

Then they're mostly all about crushing the NANNY STATE.

Just remind then that the MILITARY is no less (or more) socialism (as they typically misconstrue the word's meaning, at least) than welfare for unwed mothers.

Drives' em fucking crazy, that one does.

Pure nonsense.

Providing for the common defense is in the 1786 charter, providing a central clearing house for charity is not....There's a difference.

You, as an individual, have the right to protect your life and property form aggressive invaders by force of arms. You do not have that same right to expropriate from your neighbor, in order to feather the nests of those you claim need those resources more so than they do.

i think they are on to something, why the fuck would someone do something like that. just one step removed from "did they actually do that".

Kind of like this?

Sovereign Citizen Movement -- Extremism in America

2010 UPDATE: On May 20, 2010, two West Memphis, Arkansas, police officers were killed and two Crittenden County sheriff’s officers wounded in two linked shootouts involving an anti-government sovereign citizen with ties to Ohio and Florida.

The sovereign citizen, Jerry Kane, was a “guru” in the movement who traveled around the country, often with his teenaged son Joseph, holding seminars in which he would teach his anti-government conspiracies and pseudo-legal “solutions.” Kane specialized in a set of sovereign citizen theories called “Redemption;” he told audiences that his theories could get them out of their mortgages.

Kane and his son were apparently returning from a seminar he advertised for mid-May in Las Vegas when their vehicle was pulled over by West Memphis Police Department Sergeant Brandon Paudert and Officer Bill Evans, who were engaged in a drug interdiction exercise along the interstate. The Kanes allegedly got out of the vehicle with firearms and opened fire on the two officers, killing them both. They drove off.

I think these scientist should be put in prison for the rest of their fucking lifes if they destroyed the temperature data for the past 150 years like I heard they did. They should go to prison for a crime against humanity and knowledge.

I pray to god they didn't really do that:eek: I hope it is a lie or a smear I heard.
