Enjoy a simple explanation for the class

Yeah somewhat. ....you still get dicked over by companies though...which says alot about today's companies. They want to milk you for every ounce of time and pay you the least they can get away with.if you are making Millions and millions of dollar. You can pay your employees a little more than 10 an hour

I love lessons for the class....

...let's imagine a class at a higher level: Sorel, Mussolini, and unions

1. "Georges Eugène Sorel (2 November 1847 in Cherbourg – 29 August 1922 in Boulogne-sur-Seine) was a French philosopher and theorist of revolutionary syndicalism. His notion of the power of myth in people's lives inspired Marxists and Fascists, it is, together with his defense of violence, the contribution for which he is most often remembered."
Georges Sorel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

a. Considered a father of syndicalism, early socialism, fascism and progressivism, his contribution was the idea of the believable, motivational lie, or myth.

2. Mussolini incorporated the ideas of Sorel’s syndicalism to create his brand of fascism.

a. Syndicalism is similar to socialism but included violent, direction action.

b. Syndicalists believed in rule by revolutionary trade unions, from the French word ‘syndicat.’ The Italian word ‘fascio’ means bundle, but was commonly used as a synonym for unions.

c. Syndicalism proposed that society could be divided by professional sectors of the economy; this idea influenced FDR’s New Deal.

The YT would be more aptly described as the effectiveness of proper defensive capabilities against terrorists.

Just sayin'.

Yes, unions. They pay their members to inflate a big rat in front of my building. Normal businesses would pay people to go out and find new business, unions pay to rabble rouse and protest

Great another time travel about shit from 1847. Just what we need when discussing the problems of the day

So....you can't deny the truth of the post.....but refer to leaning as a four-letter word.....

1. I hope you won't mind if I consider that a compliment.

2. It is a mistake not to consider provenance.

"What’s past is prologue"
William Shakespeare

If you have a skill which any manjack on the street can do, you are at the mercy of exploiters, and so you will need all the collective bargaining you can get. Every low skilled laborer has to enter into a compact with every other low skilled laborer not to stab each other in the back (not to be a "scab"), and to present a unified front to those who would exploit them so the laborers may achieve higher wages than they would earn if they were not unified.

That's all well and good. But at some point, you can screw the pooch. The collective can demand higher and higher wages, thinking the sky is the limit as long as they band together, but eventually the corporation is going to start eyeballing the developing world's laborers. After all, any manjack on the planet can do what you do, so your collective isn't as all powerful as you think it is.

The better plan is to acquire a skill which is not so ubiquitous. This is why you don't see a lot of labor unions in the high tech fields. People with those skills are rare enough they have much more leverage at the employment negotiation.

We need to train our workforce for the skills of tomorrow, not for the skills of Third World laborers.

“Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power”

From an anti union........thing.

So why do progressives wish to destroy the sense of nationalism that unifies all races and people under one flag and instead seek to divide and create boundaries to keep those people apart so they can't learn about each other?

Does the phrase "divide and conquer" come to mind?

Does to me....
