The only countries in the world that are NOT majority Christian or majority Muslim.

Back in my day, before class started in "public elementary school" we had a quick prayer to God. We also were taught that if you did bad things you went to hell for it. Boy when you grow up knowing you are going to be with the Kennedy brothers or worse, Robert Byrd, burning in hell, you tried to tow the straight and narrow road. But then along came 50 shades of grey, instead of black and white, and so what starts out as a little "EVIL", soon escalates to a lot of EVIL, just look at Hillary and her dead people she leaves behind when they cross her. Look at Obama, and his killing of US citizens without due process. Look at Antifa and BLM, who go out of their way to assassinate the men in blue who are doing their job in protecting the assholes who want to kill them. Now for my apology.

I am sorry that you are too stupid not to see what is going on around you, because since they dont teach, Good and Evil in school anymore, those EVIL people go out of their way, to murder other people. Just look at the Las Vegas Shooter, a Bernie Supporter who shot up conservative kids at a country western event. Still haven't heard much else about the guy, because the liberal media wont show how fucked up their side is...

So how about you explain to us all how two antichrists manage to engage in genocide slaughtering millions of people when belief in God was far more embedded in society than today
Because like with Socialism the 4 antichrists managed to kill millions and it took, a faith in God to bring in the saviors of the day to defeat the first 2, but still have 2 to go. Hillary and Obama still walk free, but soon they two will be brought to justice...

But God was taught in school? How could it have possibly happened?
Satan is the major influence on the ideals, opinions, goals, hopes and views of the majority of people. His influence also encompasses the world’s philosophies, education, and commerce. Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals

“Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history... the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer.”
In the United States, there are two books at play right at this moment. The Rules for Radicals(Lucifer) and the Bible(God). One is followed by the liberals, the other by law abiding US citizens. Some are misguided because the father of Lies is there to sway you from God. Right now Lucifer is laughing at all you dumbass liberals for falling for his tricks.

Hillary Clinton's 1969 Political Science Thesis ("There is Only the Fight") refers to an earlier version of Alinsky’s training manual. "In 1946,” she wrote, "Alinsky's first book, Reveille for Radicals, was published."
Obama learned his lesson well. I am proud to see that my father's model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community organizing to affect the Democratic campaign in 2008. It is a fine tribute to Saul Alinsky as we approach his 100th birthday." --Letter from L. DAVID ALINSKY, son of Neo-Marxist Saul Alinsky

:laughing0301: "Lucifer"? "Father of Lies"? Really dood? What are you, three years old? Do you have monsters under the bed when the lights go out too? Anything else? Tooth fairy? Boggarts? Leprechauns? Things that go bump in the night?

FTR I never heard of "Saul Alinsky" until Glenn Beck dredged him up from parts unknown. I couldn't care less what his book dedication says but does it occur to you that maybe he did that as a mocking of you Gullibles who actually think that's a real entity?

More broadly, what kind of fucked-up planet do you come from where people need to "follow" a book at all? A herd of sheep? Ever hear of "critical independent thought"? How 'bout "free will"? What would your fellow-followers ever do without a book to dictate to them which way to go?

SMH. If only Simplistic Dichotomism came with its own on/off switch.

Hope the Easter Bunny leaves a lump of coal under your pillow.

You have a lot to learn. In ^ this post, you remind me of a teenager who wants so badly to appear like an adult and to disassociate from anything that might appear childish, that he tries a little too hard.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall for the day that you realize how wrong you were in your worldview. I've been there myself, and it was one of the most memorable moments of my life. :D

The only countries in the world that are NOT majority Christian or majority Muslim.

01. Israel
02. India
03. Nepal
04. Bhutan
05. Sri Lanka
06. Burma
07. Thailand
08. Laos
09. Cambodia
10. Vietnam
11. China
12. Mongolia
13. North Korea
14. South Korea
15. Singapore
16. Taiwan
17. Japan

Out of the 197 countries that make up the world, only the above 17 are NOT majority Christian or majority Muslim. The other 180 countries are divided between 130 majority Christian countries and 50 majority Muslim countries.

Not only is this list woefully incomplete (nothing listed in Africa such as Benin, Liberia, Madagascar, Mauritius or Togo which would all apply, as would New Zealand) ---- but it also fails to take into account syncretism, where elements of various religious practices are conjoined to form a new practice, as in for example the blending of Roman Catholicism with West African practices collectively known as Candomblé (in Brazil), Santería (in the Spanish Caribbean) and Voudoun (in the French Caribbean). Clearly these are cases where more than one category of "religion" apply on a large scale. It takes place wherever cultures meet and mix and introduce foreign ideas.

Such a list seems to be fixated on an either/or dichotomy, as if it's somehow necessary for a population or person to pick one from Column A or one from Column B, to the exclusion of everything else on the list, which just isn't how human societies work. Religions are not either/or deals. Like anything else it's entirely possible, and fruitful, to take new ideas that are perceived to be good ones and reject those from the same source that are not, and incorporate them into one's own life. Hell, that's how I do it. Give me such a checklist and I'll have marks all over the page.

Perhaps this list is intended to illustrate how much the two noted religions spread themselves by force (?). I had a Lithuanian GF who proudly boasted that her country was the last in Europe to be Christianized. :)

Madagascar: 92% Christian, 3% Muslim

That makes this hard to explain:
>> Religions: Traditional beliefs 52%, Christian 41%, Muslim 7%.<< --- from the US State Department

Small variations could be dismissed. 92 versus 41 cannot.
This is --- AGAIN --- where syncretism comes in. You don't seem to want to acknowledge that. Why?
Which means, a syncreticist could be counted either way.
.

Benin: 48.5% Christian, 27.7% Islam. Not technically majority Christian or Muslim, but still majority Abrahamic religious identity in terms of any supernatural beliefs.

Mauritius: 32.7% Christian, 17.2% Islam. Not technically majority Christian or Muslim, but still majority Abrahamic religious identity in terms of any supernatural beliefs.

Togo: 43.7% Christian, 14% Islam. Not technically majority Christian or Muslim, but still majority Abrahamic religious identity in terms of any supernatural beliefs.

New Zealand: 49% Christian, 1.2% Islam. Not technically majority Christian or Muslim, but still majority Abrahamic religious identity in terms of any supernatural beliefs.

Now you're moving your own goalposts from "Christian vs Islam" to "Abrahamic". Guess that move means you have to pull Israel off your list too.

Can't have it both ways. Again ----- WHAT IS YOUR POINT in this thread? And why can't you show any sources for what is by now obviously a flawed list?

If you actually have sources what do they say about Surinam? Or Belize? Or the Czech Republic? Because they're not on your list either.

I listed the sources and definitions. If you want to pull your hair out and nit-pick about one particular country that may just be a plurality based on one poll rather than a majority, go ahead. In general though, the list is sound. For some countries, it will obviously depend on which source you are using.

Moving the goalposts for what? I can re-edit the initial post and thread title to read Abrahamic instead of majority Christian and majority Muslim, if that would please you. Yep, Israel would not be on the list then. So what?

SO, you continue to not be able to answer the question of what your point is in making such a list, AND no you listed no source, AND you're changing whatever this list is on the fly, as you're about to prove in the next part of your post ----

Every country in the western hemisphere is above 50% Christian. Just look at the map done for the wiki link to majority Christian countries. The majority of people in the Czech Republic have some form of belief in the supranatural and that is largely influenced by Christianity, so no, that would not make the list.

See? Now it's on to "the supranatural", whatever it takes to fit a square peg in a round hole. Please don't work for your local elections because there is no way 13% can be called a "majority".

Basically what you have here is "here's a list of seventeen random countries and I'll bend my definitions to keep it a seventeen regardless what the data says".

Again ---the point of doing so is what? Far as I can see you have no goal here other than to have a list that totals 17.

Uh rrrrrrrrrrrrrreally. You mean they went around surveying the religious investments of their victims first? :eusa_doh:

Their atheism and hatred of Christianity was expressed in their journal writings which were recovered from the homes they lived in.

And you can't link these either, amirite?

Look it up yourself. I found it on the wiki page for the tragedy.

You didn't answer my question
Because "some" people would rather follow Lucifer and not God. That is the brain washing of the public indoctrination stations(schools).

Very interesting stuff you guys! I can't figure out immediately how I was going to join the discussion. The discussion is properly under Western Civilization! If there's one place where the scholarship it was under History, and specifically the Western Civilization course with my professor. They had a Protestant Reformation map in class, and several detail maps!

The USA has a Revivalist history of Enthusiasm. The first, second, and possibly third great Awakening places in us a need to say Christian and that we are enthusiastically moved in conversion. The Europeans are so divorced from their Kingly landlords as to not be sure to the denominational owner of their Churches, I'm not sure. I mean to say, its a different outlook. Now, is Their Religious Concept, Actually Losing influence, ya of course. The wars of 1800s have religious themes and the 1900s wars have Nationalist themes. The pre-1900 wars were communities of religions or even Europa and its conquest of other places, and most middle 1900 wars are Nationalists in alliances.

I've been interested in the British religious sphere, as anyone follow me notes. Interesting, no religious mandate in the British India Company or British Empire, totally an economic engine. Yet, I'm exploring the debates of their internal community of Christendom was a force as well.

I hate Pogo's post on Syncretism. Those are very annoying reads about Syncretism. I read a book on that regarding Korea. This just doesn't make any sense. Well it doesn't make any sense in the context they wanted in that book. and now I have a bias against people mentioning syncretism. Well, Religions that used knowledge of the Orthodox Churches to build the Reformed Churches didn't suffer any such thing as Syncretism. They managed to toss out and purify 1000 years of Popery and Romanist law, very clearly. All they should be doing now is popular practice assimilation as Calvin might have understood. Syncretism is going to obscure things like "hananim" is a syncretic adaptation? No, the Church chose to adopt this, they promoted this understanding, and they promoted the government as for civil obedience on earth, and when there was one Minister in all Korea, fractious people must Leave a Community.

‘People’ need to abandon this atheism nonsense.

NO! Nicene Atheism or Nothing! In 435 AD a Really Silly Counter-Byzantine Emperor, in an act of Byzantine politics to suppress the Coptic Pope, Proclaimed the Atheism Creed in Nicea, thus the Nicene Creed! In it, we see many things, Atheism is About, the heresy of pastafarianism, the sainthood of Richard dawkins, on these two things at least the patriarchs of atheism Are Assured.

The only thing I stated initially was countries that were majority Christian or majority Muslim. I did not define MY definition of majority Christian and majority Muslim.

You brought up a whole bunch of things that are not related to the thread which have to do with the level of religiosity. I've told you multiple times now the level of religiosity has NOTHING to do with whether a country is majority Christian or majority Muslim.

There is NO country in the world where only 13% of people have supranatural beliefs. Every Country, even Sweden, Czech Republic, Estonia, and France have more than 50% of people having supranatural beliefs.

How could I be changing anything about this list, when it was never initially defined. It may be different from your NARROW conception of what is majority Christian or majority Muslim, but that's not moving any goal post or attempting to fit a square peg in a round hole.

For some strange reason the list upsets you and so you have spent your time attempting to poke what you think are holes in it. You won't succeed because I have a very BROAD definition for what is considered Christian and Muslim.

The only place where the list might fall down a little is in the small number of countries where the percentages for Muslim or Christian come close by don't reach 50%. But in those few cases, your still going to be over 50% when you combine the Christian and Muslim figures.

The list is basically sound, although it might be more precise if I had used Abrahamic Religions instead of Majority Muslim or Majority Christian. I can't re-edit the initial post though.

I don't NEED to look it up. YOU do. I don't work for you.

I did, and that is what I found. If you have a problem with it, go to the places I told you and you'll see the answers I got and how I constructed the list. If you think what I said is wrong, prove it.

But God was taught in school? How could it have possibly happened?
Satan is the major influence on the ideals, opinions, goals, hopes and views of the majority of people. His influence also encompasses the world’s philosophies, education, and commerce. The thoughts, ideas, speculations and false religions of the world are under his control and have sprung from his lies and deceptions.

How is Satan god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4)?

Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals
Opening page - Dedication

READ the fucking post you came in to white-knight for Jerkweed. And quit the "I'm too stupid to understand" song and dance, it ain't selling.

I told you, the lesson to that other poster, who had nothing to do with you, was that I bite back. DEAL with it.

Uh, no, it's not. There's actual video. They shot up whoever was an available target.

Mass shooter violence is all about carnage. Body count. Blood volume. Decibels of screams. They don't give a shit about religions.

Their atheism and hatred of Christianity was expressed in their journal writings which were recovered from the homes they lived in.

And you can't link these either, amirite?

Look it up yourself. I found it on the wiki page for the tragedy.

Ever heard the term "burden of proof"?

I don't NEED to look it up. YOU do. I don't work for you.

I did, and that is what I found. If you have a problem with it, go to the places I told you and you'll see the answers I got and how I constructed the list. If you think what I said is wrong, prove it.

Once AGAIN ---- **I** don't need to prove YOUR assertion. YOU make the assertion, YOU have to prove it.

The fact that you can't, after several days, confirms my suspicions.

I dunno what the fuck planet y'all dishonest hacks come from where it's SOMEBODY ELSE's job to do your homework for you but I don't play that shit homes.

In the Eurobarometer poll of 2010, those being polled could pick one of three choices:

A. I believe in God

B. I believe there is some sort of Spirit or Life Force

C. I don't believe there is any Spirit, God, Or Life Force

The polling covered most of the countries in Europe. The highest result for "C" was in France where 40% of people picked it. Czech Republic was second with 37%, Sweden at 34%, Netherlands at 30%, Estonia at 29%, Norway at 29%. In Luxembourg, only 24% answered C.

For the 27 EU countries polled the average responses were:

A. I believe in God - 51%

B. I believe there is some sort of Spirit or Life Force - 26%

C. I don't believe there is any Spirit, God, Or Life Force - 20%

So again, even in the country with the most non-believers you still have 60% of people believing in some form the supranatural. In most European countries, those supranatural beliefs are most influenced by Christianity. Hence, that is why nearly every country in Europe is majority Christian and why no European countries are on the list.

The above polling data came from here:

Its an honest list that for the most part is pretty accurate. For some reason that upsets you.

There is no country where only 13% of people have supranatural beliefs. At a MINIMUM, every country in Europe has at least 60% of their population exhibiting some form of supranatural belief. In Europe, those supranatural beliefs come from Christianity. That's why most countries in Europe are majority Christian.
