The Nitty Gritty of the Lefts ‘Green New Deal’

Under the Green New Deal, within eleven years, the United States would be required to eliminate not merely nuclear power — which does not directly produce any carbon dioxide or air pollution — but all natural gas. Natural gas currently provides about 32 percent of America’s energy, and nuclear power produces another 10 percent.

The “Green New Deal” would also eliminate coal, which provides almost 18 percent of America’s energy, and liquid natural gas and oil, which generates another 28 percent.

In other words, within eleven years, the United States would need to replace about 88 percent of its current energy sources. This is not possible short of a societal collapse to agrarian subsistence. (At least the Renaissance fairs will remain the same.)

Everything that is good in America is a creation of liberal / progressive values. Conservatives have never done anything but whine as the about comments demonstrate. Whining is their primary trait. Sad.

There are no communist in the majority.

She's an admitted Democratic Socialist, which is a communist without the use of force, and which allows a bit of personal property to remain.
Just a bit?

Unlike communists they make noise about not going after personal property too much....

Corporate property? Oh yeah that's to be owned by the government.
Which corporations have they managed to take over?

General Motors so far...

That’s a good one but no, it is still a private corporation.

You should probably familiarize yourself with the difference between modern liberalism and classical liberalism...if you don't know the difference, ask yourself if you would like to live under a government that takes the text of the constitution literally...if you would, then you are a classical liberal/conservative which built this country and provided everything that is good...if you wouldn't, then you are a modern liberal/progressive and haven't contributed anything good to the country and have gone a great distance towards tearing down everything that was good.

After years of government ownership...it is now back in private hands...

And you believe that translates to "a range of economic and social systems characterised by social ownership (public, collective or cooperative) and workers' self-management of the means of production as well as the political theories and movements associated with them." From Wikipedia

Personally, I don't see it.
