If you got it from liberal Wiki, its own article contradicts itself. It opens by saying that 9% of its population is Jewish, but in the following paragraph says that it’s 9% of what they term religious Jews. They admit that 18% of NYC is Jewish overall.

They acknowledge that 1.6 million (of a total NYC population of 8.5 million) ”adhere” (their word) to the Jewish faith.

(Read the highlighted part under ”Population.” It clearly says 1.6 million Jews in NYC.)

Yes, isn’t? They want to downplay the number of Jews in NYC by dividing them into religious Jews and ethnic Jews in order to open the article with the 9% statistic, and then later in the article say that 18% of NYC is Jewish.

So, to recap, in a city where almost 20% are Jewish, not ONE single Jews is on the senior staff at CUNY. Factor in that Jews are more likely than average to have graduate degrees, and the look is even worse.

The topic is about the rabid antisemitism at CUNY, where not a single member of the 80-member senior staff is Jewish, and in a city that is 20% Jewish.

Going by the “fair representation” you always demand, that means that there should be 16 Jewish senior staff. The antisemites at CUNY have really had to work hard to keep Der Juden out of the school.

I don't know where they get the 20% figure in the article as every source I can find says 9% in NYC....Maybe it's state wide but all I can find is 11% for NY.

And the 9% is wrong. Wiki did some “libtalk” and counted only religious Jews. When you count all Jews, it’s 18%.

So, with an 80-member senior staff, there should be around 15 or 16 Jews. (Actually more, when you factor in that Jews are more likely to hold advanced degrees than the average NYer.) And these liberals - who constantly cry about bigotry and discrimination - managed to avoid hiring even ONE Jew?
