The Main Stream Media's March Toward Irrelevance

This, in a nutshell, is the essence of bias, the terminal diagnosis of today's Main Stream Media, from which it unremittingly slouches towards a self-inflicted demise. If you listen carefully, you may even hear its last gasps as it -- slowly but surely -- dissolves into oblivion......:clap2:

Yea, it's far too right-wing, and center right. All the left has dropped off, and stay on the Internet most of the time, when we aren't working.

Add to that the focus on programs that make America a machine full of idiots, then yea, the slide will continue to the Internet, at least for those of us who want to find some sincere liberal talk, or opinion.

And by the way, as to your little graph, any serious discussion of taxes needs to have included all of the taxes we pay, not just one of them. If you want the rich to pay less Fed. income tax, then perhaps we should up their sales and gas taxes to a hundred percent. Even then, they'd pay less in taxes, or an equal amount.

According to David Johnston's Perfecly Legal, the all taxes in, the top 20 percent (quintile) pay about nineteen cents on the dollar, while the lower quintile pays eighteen cents, so in essence, all taxes in, due to several factors, one being the minimal effect of gas, sales, FICA/SS payroll taxes, and other regressive taxes on the rich, and the really low 15 percent capital gains rate on the rich, as well as the many outs the rich have in the tax code.

Imagine if an official of a major conservative organization received 25 year prison sentence for child molestation. Would the media avert their eyes? Yet the head of the Sacramento chapter of major Obama ally, the Service Employees International Union, a man who represented thousands of state employees, received this sentence earlier this week, and the media yawned. Here is an account from the website of a local television station in Sacramento:

A former union official and California Department of Insurance employee was sentenced Tuesday to 25 years in prison after entering no contest pleas to charges of child molestation, possession of child pornography, and manufacturing child pornography.

Jaime Enrique Feliciano, who served as a chapter president of Service Employees International Union Local 1000, which represents thousands of Sacramento-area state workers, had previous convictions for child molestation and failure to register as a sex offende.

BBC News ranked as the 21st most visited News and Media website in US during August, while the Daily Mail was 47th and the BBC Homepage 65th. Other British sites in the US News and Media top 200 last month included: the Telegraph (71st), the FT (115th), The Sun (117th), Times Online (131st) and the Guardian (134th).

Interesting. The Daily Mail and Telegraph are conservative, the Sun is too but it's basically a comic. The Times is more towards the center, where the FT is, the BBC is historically slightly left leaning and the Guardian is very left.

Seems like a pretty good spread.

What's funny is that the MSM's main target has always been whites. Now that whites are disappearing from the earth, there's nobody to subscribe to their liberal lies. What a pity.

Yea, aren't you tired of hearing about [white] corporate corruption, [white] wall street incompetence, [white] outsourcing of America, [white] absurd salaries for incompetents - I added [white] just in case the unsophisticated missed all these stories in that liberal MSM. LOL Folks, corporate owned media protects its own, even Dobbs has lost his mind after the last election.
