The Joys of State Run Healthcare

Maybe you can explain something to me. Why is it that the very healthcare system we provide for our Military Members is somehow unAmerican, an abomination, Socialist, or whatever when we talk about the civilians? Military members go to Government paid Doctors, Government run Hospitals, and don’t pay anything for the services.

Are you saying we provide terrible medical care to those willing to sacrifice their lives and limbs for our Nation?
If you ever served, you know the healthcare given to our troops is substandard. One of my friends had the wrong tooth pulled by an Army dentist. I was told that there was no shard of glass from a broken coke bottle in my foot by an Army doctor, I complained so much about the pain that they sent me to a civilian podiatrist, and he found it with an ultrasound. I told him the Army used an X-Ray and he just laughed. It appears that glass is transparent to X-Rays. Anybody in the service has tons of bad healthcare stories.

Very true I have known many veterans who received excellent service at VA hospitals. I know a veteran who actually doesn't go to private doctors because he says the VA doctors are better. He actually prefers them.

It is a total myth that is floating around that VA hospitals and VA doctors are bad. I know many veterans who love the VA and praise the doctors there. Why do people want to paint the VA as bad? Simple answer they are anti-socialized medicine. They can't admit that socialized medicine actually works and is a much better system than the private sector.
The VA's doctors do the best they can in a cumbersome system that doesn't care about the patients.

And the same is true for Civilian. Especially Workman’s Comp.

True story. A buddy on a Jump ended up being the last frog in a game of Leap Frog. That means he had his air stolen in the parachute and crashed to the earth. He had three immediately critical injuries that would kill him on the DZ. He had a broken femur which if not stabilized would slice the femoral artery and he would bleed to death. He had pink foam on his lips which means punctured lung. He had possible broken back and definite concussion.

He had a lot of broken bones. He could have died. The Army medics and Doctor performed amazingly well on the zone. They called for a Medivac helicopter. One was sent without question. They stabilized my buddy and got him to Womack Army Hospital where they started to perform the multiple surgeries he needed to live.

My friend was medically discharged from the Army with full disability. He walked out with the assistance of an army issue cane.

Somehow they saved his life. They saved his limbs. They worked with him to get him walking.

The same people who rage at the idea of socialized medicine are the same ones who rant and rave about how awful our medical system was during COVID.

Yes it sucks to live in flyover country.
Nah, flyover country is great so long as you twats don't invade.

It's safe. People are friendly. Kids can play in the parks.

Then, you pervs show up and all of that peace and serenity goes out the window.

What the fuck is wrong with you creeps?

That isn’t hospital closing numbers. It is companies declaring bankruptcy. It doesn’t mean the hospital closed.

Now Biden is trying to get more funding for hospitals.

Why didn’t Trump when more than a hundred closed?

Those are companies that run hospitals. They go broke, they close.

And look at that, the next worse year for bankruptcy was under obummer.

Repealing the ACA would be reckless and irresponsible – typical of Republican bad governance.

Just as reckless and irresponsible are Republican-controlled states that refuse to expand Medicaid.

The right’s baseless opposition to the ACA is motivated solely by conservatives’ unwarranted and partisan contempt for the president who signed the measure into law, having nothing to do with the merits of the Act.

The kids grow up and flee to civilization. Deep rural counties are dying or dead.

True. The young people these days don't like physical labor for the most part. So they go off to the big cities to make money the easy way.

It's sad, but true.

However, no one calls the shitshow you clods live in "civilization".

We call where you live "dead zones." No schools. No theaters. No businesses. Just decaying retirement homes and a few racist cracker fuckers.

Hmmm, we have a theater, three of them in point of fact. Plus at least 7 movie theaters, plus hundreds of businesses, and manufacturers who are fleeing your shithole are coming.....well, here.

Huh.....

You realize you are making a good case for Government Run Healthcare. Those rural hospitals don’t get enough money to keep running. Ending Obamacare would make the situation worse, not better.
Oh? Government policies bankrupt the private banks so the way to fix it is by turning the system over to the government?

Talk about moronic.

Right. I live in the world where I check my ideals before I post them.

Trump’s deregulation of the banks set up the conditions where the failure of the banks was all but certain.

Of course. In Trump Fanboy world. It is someone else’s fault. Trump is as always. Perfect.
Fact check regularly is wrong in their declarations.

As they are here.

Talk about being a fanboi.
