Oh they talk a good game, but don't be fooled. Since Janus the teacher unions have sustained a big hit and they know it. They expect nationwide that teacher unions could see enrollment fall by 20, 30, or even up to 50%. That is a huge hit for one of the biggest Dem activist groups in the nation.

And socialists are no idiots either. When it comes to paying for a college education, they do NOT want to go into a profession for which they're going to be paid $30,000 a year coming out, same as the rest of college kids, not especially when the economy is booming. Remember: they're only socialists when it benefits them. They're not really willing to put any commodity on the line if it's not going to be to their benefit.

In recent polling (which I agree is always suspect) the percentage of those favoring socialism closely matches the percentage of voters who vote Democrat.
