You would have a valid point if in fact Unions actually cared about their members, but the big ones do not, they do not push for better retirement or better insurance they push for better pay NOW, always. Companies can afford , usually, to provide the benefits, the Unions do not want that, they want more pay so they can demand more dues from their members, Unions are EXACTLY what they were created to fight, BIG BUSINESS. Or maybe YOU can explain why union executives and staff get paid HUGE salaries and NEVER go on strike when they demand some local go on strike. The elite of the Unions NEVER lose money for any reason. They get paid through every strike while insisting members go with out so they can demand more money of Businesses that are going under already.

And the reason Unions lose retired benefits is because the MOB runs the unions and routinely STEALS the retirement funds.
