The end of the road for Barack Obama?

This is my favorite bit..... One senior black politician – a Democrat and a supporter of the President – told me of the wrath in his community that a black president appeared to be unable to solve the economic problem among his own people.

Excuse me? Among his own people? Who dat den? Cuz I thought he was an American.

It appears Barry is a dissapointment all over.

Nah, he's exactly what I expected.

Your so right.

Being the POTUS is way, way harder than wanting to be POTUS.

The dummies of America elected someone with no experience whatsoever to be the Prez. Barry boy has been finding out that most Americans think his agenda sucks. They aren't interested in spreading their wealth and are definetly not interested in the Govt controlling their healthcare. Eloquent speeches and charm will only get you so far.

Much easier to run for POTUS than actually be POTUS. Welcome to the real world there BO.

I've come to the conclusion that Obama never really wanted to be President, he really wants to be a Monarch. His preference is for ceremonial duties, not the hands on tough job of leadership.

You've described the perfect vice president! He was just on the wrong end of the ticket.

ratings validate one thing: the political reality!!!

As a conservative, theres lots of things I wish this country would be, but I dont even go there because the political reality makes it completely impractical to even consider it.

For example..........we could sit here and debate the merits of "bipartisanship". But how stupid would that be? Theres no such thing..........its a contrived concept used by the media and politicians to dupe the politically dim. Thats just the way it is.............

Some of the stuff posted up in this forum by the DailyKos/MOVE-On fanatics? C'mon.........about as credible as the guy who walks naked down Main Street shaking a bananna at people warning everybody about judgement day acomin'!!!

ALmost 25 million people a day listen to Rush Limbaugh vs about 25,000 a day who watch Rachel Maddow. So really? Who's closer to looking like the man walking down the street naked waving a bananna at people???

if you were correct that ratings reflect the political reality, obama wouldn't have won with 365 electoral votes and the dems wouldn't have been in the position they're in the last two election cycles.

I agree with you about bi-partisanship -- at least in this political environment. I don't recall this level of disrespect between people just because they disagree with each other. I've never seen the 'i hope he fails' type of mentality that exists now.

as for kos and its rightwing counterparts, I don't pay any of that any mind. But I always say that it's the extremists who make it possible for the moderates to get what they want. Without Malcolm X, Martin Luther King wouldn't have been so appealing.

It's not 25,000 a day who watch Rachel Maddow, you're just throwing out numbers because you like the way they sound.

But like I say, if the political reality was as you say, then your rightwing wouldn't be in the pickle it got itself into.

BTW, Reagan's approval rating was worse than Obama's at this point in his presidency.

As for you being a 'conservative', I haven't really seen that. In fact, your posts make you seem extreme. I find it more interesting to actually have a discussion than see bright red letters in 26 point font.

It's pretty clear that the Obama Administration is in meltdown and unable to provide effective leadership.

The sad reality, however, is that Obama still has nearly three years in this term. Having a weak, incompetent President with the staff equivalent of a dysfunctional family isn't good for the country.

It's going to be a Very Long Three Years. I doubt that the "sheep" will be properly penned with rising employment. That outlook is pretty bleak for the next few years - and could worsen if the predicted double dip occurs next year.

There is one (well quite a few more than one but let's focus on) important difference between Reagan and Obama. Reagan did as President what he said he would do during his campaign. There is no easy path out of a recession; but Reagan took the hits and stayed more or less true to his vision.

Obama campaigned as a fiscal moderate, post racialist, and a promoter of bipartisanship. He has failed miserably on all accounts. He has abandoned what he promised during the campaign - which is why he has a significant credibility problem with over half of the country.

I doubt he will recover in popularity the way Reagan did.

Probably a little early to declare the end. We'll know more by the end of this year on what the voters think of his Socialist agenda. Give it a little more time and then we'll know more.

It will be a long three years till this guy is shown the door. Hopefully the damage he creates will be stopped because of the results from the upcoming election. If not I don't think this country will survive and be the same country we had prior to his election!!! It will become a place most of us won't want to live in.

So true could not of said this better myself.:clap2:

Obama earned the WH by capturing the independant vote.
His policies, actions and rhetoric since the election are, by no means, what the independants expected...and he has lost them as they see him as another politician that will say whatever they want to hear but do whatever the party wants him to do.

He blew it. And we, the people, are the ones who lose.

Even now he's doing his best to keep losing people, trying to force his ludicrous 'health care' bill down everyone's throats.

It'll probably sound like a broken record, but i don't see how anyone thought he could lead or govern in the first place. His record was minuscule and he's hardly ever made a speech that included anymore more than vague generalities. "Hope and change" is basically what he promised without giving much of any indication of how he'd do it.

Though i'll give him credit on the "change" part. He's definitely delivered change. Too bad change isn't always good.

Check the calendar honey.......................

It's 2010 !!!!!!!!!!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Obama's narcisstic rage is going to flare to new levels of ugliness after the Dems lose seats in November.
Hardly. He knows they're going to lose seats. Historically, the party in power always loses seats mid-term.

And I don't know why folks think the President is narcissistic. He's far from it. He is insecure and woefully thin-skinned, the exact opposite of narcissistic.

Many of us weren't fooled - but endured charges of racism for pointing out his obvious lack of experience.

Actually, being insecure and thin-skinned are characteristics of malignant narcissist personalities. They create a "superior" persona to obscure their feelings of inferiority.

He looks like a classic clinical case.

yup

I hated Bush, but there was never this kind of dysfunction among agencies or with the congressional majority. Obama is a natural academic, not a natural leader. He'll do better when he goes back to teaching in 2013.

It's highly likely that Obama butt-slid through school. He reminds me of the slick guy who, when a group project was assigned, let everybody else do the hard work and then insisted that he be the main presenter.

That is certainly how he has "governed" - and I used the term loosely.

I stand corrected!

Although we should note, Malignant Narcissism is more of a theoretical diagnostic category.
