I know you why guys want to regulate banks and that is because it is a part of your communist doctrine about how to create a socialist society so drop the pretense about wanting to help people because logic would say that when banks are free to do as they want they will loan out money when there is a profit to be made but when you regulate so they can't take chances then they don't unless its permissable by the government and no one wants to run a business like that.

Yes it was all government's doing because they made it to easy for people to get loans which private non-government banks would not have done because it was they would be risking their own money but as long as the government has some control they are obligated to run the financial institutions in a safe manor which involves making sure that banks don't make mass stupid loans that can't be repaid. What Gspan and Cox were really saying is that the people who brought ideas about stopping the bad lending aka republicans were right.

If you're talking about the fact-checkers when Palin was announced as the VP pick, that decision sent shockwaves throughout the country. Who is Sarah Palin? How so? I certainly had media access to all the negative reports. Both of those (actually ALL of those ignorant allegations) have been debunked. Was Obama perfect? Hell no. The problem is that Obama's friends are important because they tell who a person is which is why most employers ask for the names of friends so they can call them for character references. They want to know you are and if all of the friends that that employer called were communist, terrorist, and racist preachers I would not hire you.

In fact they ENHANCED the Clinton program to make mortgage lending to minorities even easier, by promoting and advocating no money down and relaxing loan approvals based on income and apart from conventional mortgage formulas. It was THOSE mortgages that got bundled and are still lost forever in some rotting securities package along with a few good mortgages.

The Administration proposed the Zero-Downpayment Initiative to allow the Federal Housing Administration to insure mortgages for first-time homebuyers without a downpayment. Projections indicate this could generate over 150,000 new homeowners in the first year alone.

President Bush proposed a new Single Family Affordable Housing Tax Credit to increase the supply of affordable homes.

The President has proposed to more than double funding for the Self-Help Homeownership Opportunity Program (SHOP), where government and non-profit organizations work closely together to increase homeownership opportunities.

The President proposed $2.7 billion in USDA home loan guarantees to support rural homeownership and $1.1 billion in direct loans for low-income borrowers unable to secure a mortgage through a conventional lender. These loans are expected to provide 42,800 homeownership opportunities to rural families across America.
