No, this is not about the ACA. It's about the political ramifications of it.

democrat Senators have given obama until Nov 30 to get his act together on the website.

It's pretty well known now that is not going to happen.

What do you think will happen? Will democrat Senators stick with obama? Will they bolt and start criticizing him? Bad?

This is a bigger deal than you think. A very big deal

What happens?

I think there will be a 'grace period' and then democrat Senators desert obama like rats on a sinking ship.

This thing only gets worse and democrats take a beating in next year's Midterms.

Could get ugly, people

Hasn't the deadline been moved to Dec. 15th? And now one insurance carrier, I believe it is CMS can deal directly with consumers in Texas, Ohio and Florida. Now why didn't they do that originally with all insurance companies? Oh, that what we had before Obamacare and it worked very well.

The administration is changing this for one state and that for another... changing the deadline for two weeks, nothing is going to help. Grasping for straws in the dark is never a good idea.

Aside from being really pissed off, most Americans have written off obamacare. Go without and pay a small penalty. If you get seriously sick, sign up then.

I think the enrollment deadline was moved but that doesn't do anybody any good unless they can actually enroll...

ooopsie..... Take a coffee break and CMS changes the rules...

Still not the point.

I think the deadline I want to talk about is the unofficial deadline that democrat Senators have given obama -- "Nov 30 or you're on your own and we're gonna start slamming you."

I think that's a big deal.

Why? Because the media is finally waking from the self-induced coma that obama is a lying fuck and dimocrap senators are starting to realize that the media can not or will not (CAN not) cover for them any more and they're striking out on their own.

They have polling data in their own States and they're worried.

Does anyone know what's going on? Deadlines moved, certain parts of the bill extended, this group getting waivers, website still not working, individual mandate moved, premiums going up instead of down, deductible higher? For someone who is supposed to be a community organizer, this is pretty pathetic.

Republicans will demand the deadline for the individual mandate be postponed as a condition for passing a CR budget before Christmas recess.

The people who are paying attention to the website are the millions and millions of people who need insurance, many of whom live in red states which refuse to set up state web sites.

The federal website will get fixed, sooner or later, and those people will get insurance. And they won't forget who provided it, and who stood in the way. And they won't forget it was the federal government which solved their problems, and state government once again failed them.

So enjoy the monkey dance over the website problems while you can.

No, we won't. No way. You own it, scumbags. Deal with it.

the public is in support of healthcare reform and is weighing whether the ACA is for healthcare or corporate profits - the party for profit (first) will ultimately be the losers.

there is plenty of time till Nov. to decide which side is which.

Instead, this is going to get pretty. You just can't fool all the people all the time forever:

Washington (CNN) – What a difference a month makes.

A new CNN/ORC
International poll indicates a dramatic turnaround in the battle for control of Congress in next year's midterm elections.

Democrats a month ago held a 50%-42% advantage among registered voters in a generic ballot, which asked respondents to choose between a Democrat or Republican in their congressional district without identifying the candidates.

That result came after congressional Republicans appeared to overplay their hand in the bitter fight over the federal government shutdown and the debt ceiling.

But the Democratic lead has disappeared. A new CNN/ORC poll indicates the GOP now holds a 49%-47% edge.

The new survey was conducted last week and released Tuesday.

The 10-point swing follows a political uproar over Obamacare, which included the botched rollout of HealthCare.gov and controversy over insurance policy cancelations due primarily to the new health law.

The turnaround in the CNN/ORC poll follows similar shifts in recent national surveys from Quinnipiac University and Fox News.

I don't think it's going to be that easy. The problems, in the meantime are compounding. The Hobby Lobby Challenge has just been accepted by the SCOTUS to be heard this spring. That WAS a minor glitch, but now it's not. Can Obamacare make a religious institution buy contraceptive ware? Is it tantamount to abortion? Does this delay the selling of Obamacare for anyone who uses this excuse? Didn't Notre Dame have issues with this?

And then there still the website, will it ever get off the ground when the same people who created the website are "fixing it"? What a mess!
