In December, 232 metropolitan areas had over-the-year decreases in nonfarm payroll employment, 2 had increases, and 155 were essentially unchanged. The largest over-the-year employment decreases occurred in New York-Newark-Jersey City, NY-NJ-PA (-1,015,900), Los Angeles-Long Beach- Anaheim, CA (-561,800), and Chicago-Naperville-Elgin, IL-IN-WI (-350,600). The largest over-the- year percentage losses in employment occurred in Kahului-Wailuku-Lahaina, HI (-22.4 percent), Monroe, MI (-16.4 percent), and Flagstaff, AZ (-15.1 percent). Over-the-year increases in employment occurred in Ogden-Clearfield, UT (+8,100, or +3.0 percent), and Idaho Falls, ID (+3,100, or +4.9 percent). (See table 3 and map 2.)
The theme is that those Cities that were closed down had the highest unemployment rates. The fact that they are all Blue States is the common denominator. The 2 with increased employment rates are Red States. Inner Cities faired the worst of any group. Their children couldn't go school, a mother or father had tostay home to care for them. The stores and businesses destroyed by the Antifa led protests caused those who worked at them to become unemployed. Those who had jobs outside the Cities had the same problem due to the closing down orders issued by their states.

Unemployment will go down in all of those blue cities soon. They have legalized heroin/opioids, cocaine/meth, fentanyl, etc. They will be dying off in droves. No need for gun control. OD fatalities will become the new pandemic.
