Much more is needed in addition to the wall. All illegal aliens need to be deported. Sanctuary leaders need to be arrested and imprisoned, starting with California Governor Moonbeam Brown and Atty General Xavier Beccera. Birthright citizenship needs to be abolished, retroactive to 1980.

Not all Trump Conservatives including myself agree with Trump on "The Wall". IMO the money would be much better spent on expanding border agent numbers and drone/IR detection technology. If you build a 30 foot 1000 mile long wall, you have created a challenge and any desperate human being will find a way to climb it. If on the other hand you demonstrate that you have effective 100% surveillance over the entire border and prove that anyone crossing the border is caught within hours then the crossing attempts will stop or at least slow to a trickle. That is the goal, isn't it? I don't believe you accomplish the goal with a giant wall.
