Tennessee Rednecks Keep On Thumpin'

So you are in support of the liberal anti-free speech movement.

Or is it that your hate for people of faith has blinded you from supporting Constitutional rights?

I believe in separation of church and state. That means keep your stupid 2000 year old religious fairy tales out of and away from my public education. Folla'

You want the bible taught to your children do like my son's wife has done......send them to a K-12 Presbyterian school. 'Course you had better have some serious funds available when you make that decision. All three of theirs are attending now.....'course my son earns about $200,000 per year.

It ALSO means keep out of OUR Church. But Obama doesn't seem to follow the sames rules. What's good for one is good for another. If our Govt is going to push themselves onto the Christian church and force them to do things that's against their faith, then there's NOTHING WRONG with kids on recess studying the Bible. In fact, if Obama wants to push it, i think then that there should be non-mandatory Bible study classes in school. How would you like than one stupid?

Watch what he says.

My son's wife. The issue this man has nothing to do with a battleground in discussion about Christianity.

He's flipping out because of his daughter in law.

Cammmpbell thinks if kids don't have their words regulated at recess that they'll be able to bring snakes into classrooms and shove them into the hands of kids.

This is a man who thinks your beliefs are crazy.

There is no better example for why people should become christians, than Cammmpbell.

And as you all know, I'm a non-believer.

If they're stupid enough to swallow that 2000 year old fairy tale god help 'em.....metaphorically speaking of course.

If you're stupid enough to think kids talking at recess will lead to kids having old unsafe mormon customs forced on them in the classroom than god help you, metaphorically of course.

Oh Yeah....any mention of an invisible man in the sky should only be used metaphorically. P.T. Barnum said, "There's A Sucker Born Every Minute!" Religion proves he was right.

ANCIENT GOD WORSHIP IS ON THE WAY OUT. TODAYS YOUTH IS ONE HELLUVA LOT SMARTER THAN THAT

it's kids talking at recess, not teachers teaching it.

I'm gunna give you the benefit of the doubt and go with blind hate instead of hating free speech.

Bullschit! If they ever got a foot in the door they would be holding old fashioned prayer meetings, snake handling and all. I've lived in Tennessee for 77 years minus the two years I was away in the army. I know the bible thumpers like the back of my hand.

That's bigoted hate.

grats, you are no better than a Klan member.

Would someone help an American that's down on his rep?

You really hate your daughter in law don't you? It drips from every anti Christian post you make.

And I'm a Hickman/Davidson county girl and I resent the image you attempt to portray of just simple country folk. Those were some of the best years of my life living with them.

They are good people and you just come off as the most bitter man.

You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later.

Ditto

Took care of it...i told him i'm praying for him. I'm sure he's all better now!!!! :)

So we're at a point where gov't has to approve of what students say at recess?

Not approve.

Don't you love tyranny? It's keeping our kids from accidentally hearing the word Jesus.

whew, I feel so much safer.

LOL.....just like a Christian. Any kind of false information is OK as long as their "Message of Salvation" is conveyed. I wouldn't trust one of them in the shithouse wearing a face guard.

Revelation 21:8
King James Version (KJV)

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

Why do you quote passages from the Bible ALL the time, yet you don't believe in that fairy in the sky? How can you prove a point by quoting something you say you don't believe in?

Appeals court weighing arguments over Knox County Bible study

CINCINNATI (AP) - A federal appeals court is weighing whether a Knox County student should have been allowed to read and discuss Bible passages during recess.

A three-judge panel from the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati on Wednesday took up the case brought by Samuel and Tina Whitson, who sued Knox County Schools in 2008.

The Whitsons claim that Karns Elementary School Principal Cathy Summa infringed on the rights of Luke Whitson by telling him he could no longer hold Bible study on the playground.

School officials argued that policy barred Bible discussions during recess and school hours but allowed students to study the Bible on their own.

A federal jury in Knoxville ruled in favor of the school district in 2009. The court took the case on the briefs. The litigants are involved in the appeals process.

Hello idiot. The student has the right to read the Bible during recess, no matter what the school and the court says. Seperation of church and state is not in the constitution and is a plot by the evil left to throw God out of society.

Rev. 21:8 refers to you. How does it feel knowing you are condemned? Oh by the way, I am not judging you, I don't have to, you put yourself out here all the time proving your ignorance.

When I was in my 20's I had most of the new testament committed to memory.....chapter and verse. Most people who claim to be Christians can't quote 10 verses and get it right. My problem is that none of them actually live the way the new testament instructs them to. They think their translation of what a preacher tells them is all they need. The preacher is telling them exactly what he knows they want to hear. Anything to keep the money coming in. Kinda funny that in the old testament god told Noah the exact measurements by which to build the ark. There is nothing in the new testament about how to build a church. The whole thing is a man's game devised to control and get into other people's pockets. That's not just my opinion....that's the truth.

I don't go to church, for the fact that i've had a hard time finding one that i feel is a REAL Bible/God teaching church. But God also said where 2 or more gather in His name, He will be there also. A church doesn't have to be a building, it's a gathering of His believers. So some of us meet weekly for prayer and Bible study on our own.

It's too bad that you had such a bad experience and now have turned away from Him. The bad part is you let what PEOPLE have done turn you away from your Lord.

I go to a few Reds games every summer in Cincy, of every sports venue I've gone too they have the meanest, oldest, angriest ushers who just seem to hate the fact that they haven't died yet. That's who Cammmpbell reminds me of.

Even though many people now say that they don't believe in separation of church and state, if that were ever compromised, most of them would start screaming FOR the separation. They have no idea what it means to tear down that wall.

OK....reading is one thing....holding bible studies is another

Ancient god worship is a no brainer. It's days are numbered. If not now it's just a matter of time.

Agreed! I lived in Nashville 20 years. Nashville is a fairly cosmopolitan place. It is a safe place for nonchristians and movie stars. The temple below, Hindu I believe, was built while I lived there. The building of it was something to watch. I passed it every day on the way to work.

Just a quick question for everyone to think about...........

If you're going to allow a Christian based Bible study during recess, then you also have to allow one for Hindus, and Koran studying Muslims.

Are you cool with allowing ALL religious studies during recess (which also allows time for prostelytizing and sharing their faith)?

I mean..........will you allow Muslims to preach THEIR faith at recess as well?
