My talking points:
1) This happened in California, aka the "Sue Me State".
2) The California Teachers Union is powerful.
3) The school district probably has a dress code.
4) The Teachers Union will back up the teacher and nothing will happen to her.
5) LA schools are multi-cultural, full of racism, and it doesn't start with the teachers. Racism begins at home.
6) This is not a civil rights violation if the student broke dress code rules. There is a need and reason for dress codes in this part of the state
7) One of the oaths in becoming a US citizen is to assimilate to this country, not force ones prior country of residence on the US.
Disclaimer: I don't work for the school district in LA, nor am I a teacher.
Dontcha' just LOVE the flag of Mexico flying above an upside down US flag?
Doesn't that show how much respect Hispanics have for the country they live in?
There is truly something errant with this way of thinking!
