Tea Party Tactics in Arizona...to Implement ObamaCare

We should have just expanded Medicaid instead of passing Obamacare. They grossly over exaggerated the number of people who were unable to buy health care insurance to create the illusion of a crisis, which they didn't waste. No need to force the rest of us into bureaucratic nightmare when there was an easier solution.

Obama and congress could have chosen to assist small businesses in succeeding by not passing so many oppressive laws. That would have meant people keeping jobs, more jobs created and employer sponsored healthcare. Welfare to work would have encourage people to step up and do more for themselves so the rest of us wouldn't have to carry the burden.

They could have allowed health insurance companies to compete across the country, which would have resulted in lower premiums and incentive for companies to offer more for the money. Having health insurance companies competing like the auto insurance companies would have been great.

Instead, this administration chose to reduce the availability of jobs by putting too large of a burden on small businesses and created more government dependents. Full time employees have either lost their jobs or were turned into part time employees and now qualify for government aid.

How can any liberal look at the whole picture and say we're going in the right direction? Less workers and higher tax burdens mean the middle class is about to be royally screwed again.

Unsustainable is the best word to describe liberal policies, from Social Security to Obamacare.

I have been saying that all along. The numbers just aren't that big. If we combined Medicare, Medicaid, and the VA there would be plenty to cover all of the working poor who can't buy insurance. Instead, we have a separate program which looks to be taking claims paid by insurance straight to the IRS. My medicine is $100,000/year. If they tax people for their insurance claims paid a lot of people will be worse off with insurance than without.

holy cow, Bloomingidiot rag is in competition with the national Enquire..and look, it's dumping on the the Tea Party...color me shocked

how pathetic

but it's another paid job for the Obamacare pusher on this board
Brewer just sees the handwriting on the wall. There are now only 13 state governors who have stated that their state will not participate in the expansion. The remainder are already participating are leaning toward participating.

Not participating makes no sense for these states either financial or politically. The states don’t have to pay any percentage of the cost for the expansion until 2017, at which point the federal government will gradually transition to covering 90 percent of the cost through 2020. From a political standpoint hundreds of thousands of people in these states will be without insurance coverage which will have a political impact.

SNIP:
Unions, the reliable Democratic supporters, split from president on ObamaCare

Published May 25, 2013

FoxNews.com
Labor unions that have solidly backed President Obama are splitting with him over ObamaCare -- with one calling for the “repeal or complete reform” of the president’s signature health-care law.

Union leaders argue insurance costs for millions of workers will increase under the president’s health-care plan so they might have to drop their existing plan, despite Obama promising the opposite.

Their primary concern is the multi-employer or so-called Taft-Hartley plans that cover unionized workers in retail, construction, transportation and other industries that frequently use seasonal and temporary employment.

The union leaders say the roughly 20 million people covered by the plans will likely have higher premiums because the Affordable Care Act does not include tax subsidies for them.

However, workers seeking coverage in the upcoming, state-based marketplaces for insurance, known as exchanges, can qualify for subsidies.

Union leaders are now hearkening back to what Obama repeatedly said starting in 2009: "If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan."

Indeed! She's clearly bought into the idea of the Medicaid expansion, to the point that she's decided to paralyze her state government until she gets her way, Tea Party-style.

This is the first instance in the four years of their existence I can remember of their kamikaze style of governance being used to do good, so frankly I'm not sure what to feel. Go get 'em, Jan.

What? You are unhappy that Brewer is strong arming the TPM in the good TPM way?

These are the states that already have a higher number covered under the government's insurance than their population that is covered through employment - AL, AR, DE, DC, FL, IA, KY, LA, ME, MiSS, NE, NM, NY, OK, SC, VT, and W VA.

The states that have agreed to the Medicaid expansion, some of them already got waivers that allows them to reduce benefits which is not fair. The states that did not agree to the expansion may not be what the media is stating why they are not. It is most likely because the federal government cannot afford their populations yet on the exchange.

The health insurance companies are only going to gain 20 million new members of the preferred population they are hoping to gain in 2014. Over 7 million children might get coverage through CHP while the remaining will be eligible for Medicaid.

Didn't Jan Brewer effectively kill two Americans when she halted payment on previously approved expenditures for their medical procedures.

Oh yeah..

Where's the Conservative outrage for that?

:crickets:

YOU KNOW what the smear is...stop playing dumb.
you post a article that SMEARS the Tea Party instead of just saying you are behind Brewer..

If you're talking about the bit about Tea Partiers holding a rally to hold up signs rejecting health care, that's kind of how they rose to prominence in the first place.

Seems to have a struck a nerve with you, though. But I wouldn't be able to defend their position if I were you, either.

Clearly Brewer concluded that she couldn't when she split from them and decided to use their slash-and-burn strategies against them.

The headline of this article pretty much summed up my reaction when I first heard about this:

Who Are You And What Have You Done With Jan Brewer

How much do you get paid for posting about ObamaCare? that's all you ever post here about?
so now you're saying ObamaCare is HEALTH CARE? so they did TAKE OVER this countries and the peoples, health care?

Sadly nothing, I make my money in other ways.

But if you've figured out what my primary policy interest is, kudos! It takes a keen intellect to figure that out.
