Tea Party and Sympathizers, Please Read

Do you really expect Tea Baggers to have a clue what a Socialist is?

Let alone a Nazi?

Helloooooooooooooo, this tea-partier does and so do the millions of other tea partiers, polls indicate that we are much more educated on the issues and the historical content than any of you liberal leftist loons are.

Socialism- defined- a social system based on GOVERNMENT CONTROL of the production and distribution of goods and services.

Let me see, we now have government motors and government Obama care, next it's Wall Street, then on to Energy with Cap and Tax. Does this remind you so someone,:lol: because it sure does me, the SOCIALIST regime currently in power with the socialist PRESIDENT Barrach Hussein Obama.:cuckoo:

Excellent piece. a bit of genuine History.

"...Few paid attention, but they got to the truth. And they were Socialists fighting the Nazis, you might recall. Listen up, T.P.ers: The Nazis were not Socialists. The Socialists were not Nazis. They were blood enemies. In fact, the Socialists fought the Nazis, while conservatives and nationalists stood by and thought Hitler would be their pawn. Hitler, need it be said, was not a Socialist. He hated the Socialists. Had thousands of them murdered as soon as he came to power...."

'The Tea Party's Toxic Take on History, Ignore it at your peril.'

By Ron Rosenbaum

"Most people with a basic grounding in history find Tea Party ignorance something to laugh about, certainly not something to take seriously. But I would argue that history demonstrates that historical ignorance is dangerous and that it can have tragic consequences, however laughable it may initially seem. And thus the media, liberals, and others are misguided in laughing it off. And educated conservatives are irresponsible in staying silent in the face of these distortions.

The muddled Tea Party version of history is more than wrong and fraudulent. It's offensive. Calling Obama a tyrant, a communist, or a fascist is deeply offensive to all the real victims of tyranny, the real victims of communism and fascism. The tens of millions murdered. It trivializes such suffering inexcusably for the T.P.ers to claim that they are suffering from similar oppression because they might have their taxes raised or be subject to demonic "federal regulation.""

ironically

when bush was president and the left was calling him a "nazi"

conservatives regularly reminded their minions of the very same sentiment;

"calling Bush a tyrant, a communist, or a fascist is deeply offensive to all the real victims of tyranny, the real victims of communism and fascism. The tens of millions murdered. It trivializes such suffering inexcusably "

bush was NOT a nazi or a tyrant
clinton is NOT a nazi or a tyrant
palin is NOT a nazi or a tyrant
obama is NOT a nazi or a tyrant

Awwwwww...........I wonder where the Tea Party ever got the idea to compare Obama to Hitler?

“Bush=Hitler”
The politics of dangerous stupidity.

In the September 2003 issue of Vanity Fair a photo of Richard Perle is placed alongside Joseph Goebbels and the caption asks: "Separated at Birth?"

Dave Lindorff in "Bush and Hitler: The Strategy of Fear," which according to York's article appeared in February on the site Counterpunch.org. "Bush simply is not the orator that Hitler was. But comparisons of the Bush administration's fear-mongering tactics to those practiced so successfully and with such terrible results by Hitler and Goebbels . . . are not at all out of line."

Scholars at Berkeley insist that George Bush shares a psychological profile with Hitler.

An editorial writer for the Kansas City Star invokes Martin Niemoller's "First they came for the Jews…" mantra to decry the alleged excesses of the Patriot Act.

Various Muslim activists are constantly suggesting that they are the Jews of the Nazified America.

Retired Princeton University professor Sheldon Wolin writes of the "inverted totalitarianism" of the Republican party — "a fervently doctrinal party, zealous, ruthless, antidemocratic, and boasting a near majority" —

You must be younger than you look...

about...12? maybe...10?

cuz if you go a little further back in time...
to the early 1990's

you will find CONSERVATIVES referring to bill and hillary KLINTON as nazis....

perhaps you've heard (or even said) the word...HITLARY KJlinton...

or how about..DEMINAZIS....?
or LIBERNAZI?
FEMINAZI?

with rush limbaugh more or less starting it in the late 1980's cons immediately took to calling ALL democrats and liberals "nazis"

that is when they were not calling them communists
devil worshippers
god haters
America haters
freedom haters
baby eaters
terrorist lovers

I'm not sure if I trust those polls.

I certainly do NOT believe that you are "more educated"

you might be more FIRM in your belief...

the fact that you believe that all liberals are equal to LEFTIST LOONS is a pretty good indication of just of badly educated you truly are....

I think what we have is a case of;

your deranged leaders tell you lies and misinformation
you believe it
then your deranged leaders tell YOU just how SMART YOU ARE to believe all this crap
then there is a poll...

and YOU say..."me smart!"

While I only agree in part, the reason Bush was called a fascist was because of policy. Bush was also called only one ideological negative. Obama is called so many - after so short a period - they contradict each other and make the sign holders and talking heads look quite a bit stupid. The name calling is just frustration over the loss of power, it has no roots in any policy as it started before anything even happened.

Here is why some called Bush / Cheney fascist.

Midcam, consider the possiblity that socialists of different stripes can have blood feuds, too.

Not that I really think Hitler was a socialist, but denying that he was an authoritarian (or that socialism isn't also an authoritarian form of government) is largely a waste of your time.

I mean seriously...what was the difference between Hitlerian fascism and Stalinist communism?

Not a hell of a lot.

They're both ghastly forms of governance that ended up killing millions of their own people.

Some of us call Obama a socialist because of his policies. See how that works? We don't even need to be spoon fed information to make that link either! Impressive what critical thinking can do for an individual.

The only ideological sense in which they are similar is they were both in the end dictators, actually madmen. We need to be clear about what ideologies are if we are ever to understand them or deal with the reality that we are all ideologues.

If death numbers is all that counts even here there are large differences. Hitler killed Jews, Stalin his foes. Hitler wanted to avenge an affront, Stalin wanted total power and control. Ideologically one starts from a concept of a master race, the other from historical determinism. Both are madmen but both required a social situation to act out their madness.

I admit I haven't read much about Stalin and want to get a better understanding of his evil. See book.

Youre using the incorrect political spectrum.

the tea party and MODERN conservatives use a spectrum as follows:

TOTAL GOVERNMENT CONTROL (LEFT) ----> Oligarchy ---> Democracy ---> Republic -> Anarchy (RIGHT)

Get it?

...yet I can hold forth at length on the numerous picayune differences between him and Hitler."

Methinks someone just pegged the hubris-o-meter!

Given your usual three word cutesy replies I doubt you could hold forth on much of anything. When and if you you ever post an original and complex thought, please ping me the link. Till then I consider you a useless spoiled tool or is that fool of the corporate and wingnut right. Brainless and thoughtless in other words.

But keep up the cute replies the other wingnuts love simple nothings that fit into their own empty space.
