T-shirts at a memorial service aren't political?

Kinda reminds one of the memorial service that was held for the deceased Senator from Minnesota a few years back. The socialist left just can not ignore an opportunity to campaign when there is a large crowd gathered not matter what the reason they are gathered for in the first place.

The whole thing was sick. How disrespectful can you get when you turn a memorial into a fucking Obama for change rally with tshirts and all.....Do you think they bused in the cheering crowed? Who the hell cheers for the Home land security director?

How was it a political rally for Obama? Because the university supplied apolitical t-shirts? Because he obviously had control of the crowd and had them cheer when he came out? Because his message was so political right? (if you think his message was-you didn't watch it).

PS-awesome icon. \m/

I'm trying to work up some outrage.... but I'm struggling to get past the inhumanity of the incident.

I can see why people are complaining. And I agree. The 'tone' of the event was more of a pep rally than a memorial... but I genuinely thought Obama looked very uncomfortable with that when he walked in.

Blaming him is ridiculous. I blame the audience for behaving like idiots, and I blame those who organized it for turning it into a 'yes we can' fiesta. I don't blame Obama because it wasn't his fault.

:clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2:

The are partisan T-Shirts because its only Democrat Campaign workers handing the T-Shirts out.

I beg you people to allow this city to heal in their own way.

The university planned this event.

Please allow the community to come together and thrive in name of its people who died and were injured.

when people of tucson see these shirts being worn in their community what do you think will be the reaction?

Exploitation at the venue by a political machine that was supposed to be a memorial service and instead was packed with political supporters. A mentally ill person kills 6 and wounds many more, so we have 'cheering' for Obama? I'd be disgusted and many will feel the same.
What proof do you have that the event was "packed with political supporters," other than your own hatred for Obama?

Was there no cheering before Obama spoke or for anyone else but Obama?????
Your seething hatred for Obama is sickening!

Maybe we need a law that forbids cheering at a University event. What were those people thinking, for God's sake! The fucking nerve at trying to pull together as a community in the midst of a horrible tragedy.

Yeah, Cheering at a Memorial that Represents 6 Dead and Many Wounded...

Not a Week after the Massacre...

And you get a T-Shirt for coming!

Classy...

:)

I have to agree with you here. It reminded me of being at a basketball game. I thought Obama did not expect this, but handled it well. I wondered how the family of the victims felt. For them, I felt their sorrows may had been lost.

Here's my MAJOR Issue... The Injured... Well, more Specifically, ONE of the Injured is taking Center Stage over the KILLED and other Wounded...

This is SO OBVIOUSLY Political, that it's Shameless...

The 6 Dead People is who this should have been Primarily for, if it was to happen at all...

Personally, the Week Following something like this is WAY too Soon for a Pep Rally...

:)

Yep. this is what is important. Not 6 dead Americans.

There is something "wellstone memorialesque" about turning a memorial service into a political even. This one wasn't nearly as bad as that event, but the t-shirts were inappropriate. I don't think it honors the 6 dead Americans to provide such slogan themed souvenirs.

What on earth does "together we thrive" mean for 6 dead people? Are they being buried in a mass grave?

Never underestimate the wild mood swings of people that have suffered a community disaster. It is wrong to label them idiots.

Damn you hate mongers are pathetic!
The OP shows the t-shirts on the back of the chairs, no one handing them out. No problem to CON$, they just fabricate Democratic campaign workers handing them out to rationalize the justification for their hate. Problem solved.

I thought the old saying was "Together we stand"

But I guess the loony libbies must think that's too violent.

I dont think the community found it disrespectful.

Why do you say they do?

I'll ask you the same thing I did Ravils...

How many People Live in Tucson?...

Those Primarily Obama Worshipers were there for Obama... Probably most of the same People who were at Previous Obama Rallies... I would like some ObamaAZ Supporters to tell me if they got Offers from ObamaInc for Tickets via e-mail.

He had Specific e-mails to Coloradoans for the DNC in 2008... And then the Backstage Pass Lottery...

The Tragedy was an Afterthought for these People.

Otherwise the Cheering and T-Shirts wouldn't have happened...

:)

Don't be an idiot. The Obama operatives approve and control everything at those appearances. If they told the university to make people sit on upside down chairs, the university would have done that.

Prove it.

Grow up.

I'm not the one making accusations with no grain of evidence. Keep whining about everything Obama and the Democrats do, but at least provide some proof to your claims. Otherwise your opinion is just an opinion-not an informed opinion.

The university planned this.

they are part of the community there.

I dont think they were trying to hurt people with a message of coming together and thriving.

I dont think the victims would be insulted by that message.

How many People Live in Tucson, Ravi... <2nd Time I've asked you...

You don't Speak for all of Tucson anymore than you Speak for "everyone" on this Website...

You hardly Speak for yourself.

"Mission Accomplished" was for the USS Lincoln's LONGEST MISSION EVER coming to an End, and the End of Major Combat Operations in Iraq...

What did you guys do with that again?...

There is no doubt in my mind that you wouldn't attend the memorial simply because Obama was there...such is your hatred that you put it before memorializing Americans gunned down simply for being at a meeting with their representative.

No doubt there are people in Tucson that feel as you do.

America could use some coming together and thriving dont you think?

I think we can thrive much easier if we come together as Americans.

We CAN heal, we just have to want to heal.
