Oh really? And that's all he did that was nconstitutional? Well, it does raise a question to me, especially with so many Trump administration positions still unfilled as well as so many judicial appointments the same. Just what is it all about?

Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 says:

He(the President) shall have the Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two-thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.

The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session."

And the Senate makes the rules of how those confirmations are handled. The majority leader decides which committee to send them to and the ranking member of the committee has the say so of what will go on during the hearings and voting. And some of those rules are truly crappy. I don't have it at hand but remember there have been many times when appointees were held up by Senators whose names were kept secret. And committee chairment let them get away with it.

So what, if anything, can be done about it? The administration now has a plethora of Obama appointees in place and we keep hearing how government would come to a standstill if they're fired. Really? Should the president do with them what he did with the federal attorneys?
