When Trump deals go south (and they all go south - Trump has a very bad business reputation), Trump takes on "investors", retaining a very small percentage of the property, usually somewhere between 5 and 15%, he keeps his name on the building, and he continues to manage the property. With the properties he does own, there is no waying of knowing what percentage they hold, or whether or not there capital debt owing on them.
Nearly all of Trump's American resorts and hotels are losing money except the east coast golf resorts where he goes nearly every weekend.
The Doral Resort, where he tried to hold the G7 has lost 65% of it's revenue since he took office. Cultists thought Trump so kind and generous for offering to host the G7 at no charge to the American taxpayers. What Trump failed to mention is that while he would not be charging for rental of the property, Doral would received millions of dollars and capital improvements to its communications systems, security, and other infrastructure improvements required to bring the facility up to the standard needed. Conservative estimates place the value of those improvements in the $10 million dollar range. Plus the millions of dollars of free publicity.
Trump's hype of his wealth and business acumen has no basis in reality or fact. This is a man who lost $1 billion in the the real estate market of 1980's. He went bankrupt while owing casinos - 4 times. He is the worst businessman in American history.
American banks still won't lend to him. If he really is a rich and successful as he claims, they'd be lining up to give him money.
