STATE LEGISLATIVE Political Party Breakdown
Those guys are really, really good at tracking this stuff, and it makes for less work for me for stuff that is non-presidential election data, but still important.
We are talking about a breakdown, percentually, of state legislature seats, by party, by region and by sub-region, for 49 of 50 states (impossible to measure Nebraska - read the link to see why).
I made a screenshot of the table I think is the most important:
You can see a mirror-like relation between NE-1 and S-2, and between NE-2 and S-1.
Nationally, the GOP has the edge in all of our statehouses combined. But look at how tight it is in the upper Midwest.
It will be interesting to see how this changes after the November general election, for this reason, I am posting this data now and updating again after November.
