The outstanding Duke Blue Devils (NCAA men's basketball) boasts 5 national titles (1991, 1992, 2001, 2010, 2015), numerous ACC regular-season and tournament-titles, and countless Final Four appearances --- all under the legendary Coach Mike Krzyzewski ('Coach K'). Duke University also boasts an incredible academic program, and Coach K's Blue Devils basketball program has become a hallmark of sports-and-academics excellence. Duke's team color is blue.

The gritty-scrappy Philadelphia Eagles (NFL football) have never won a Super Bowl title, but since 2000, they've reached a whopping 6 NFC Championships (seasons 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2008, 2017). They've only won two of these games, and therefore reached the Super Bowl twice (2004, 2017), making then the official Underdog NFL Team of the New Millennium. The Eagles' team color is green.

The ambitious Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL) are a storied team. With an estimated worth of US $1.4 billion in 2017 according to Forbes, the Maple Leafs are the second most valuable franchise in the NHL, after the New York Rangers. The club has won thirteen Stanley Cup championships, second only to the 24 championships of the Montreal Canadiens. The Maple Leafs history includes two recognized dynasties, from 1947 to 1951; and from 1962 to 1967. Winning their last championship in 1967, the Maple Leafs' 50-season drought between championships is the longest current drought in the NHL. The Maple Leafs' team color is blue.

Thinking of sports-fanfare as it relates to team colors is a great way for audiences to follow the team-spirit of an organization/franchise (collegiate or professional!). You might realize that you like a team simply for their unusual/creative uniforms (e.g., Michigan Wolverines NCAA football, Golden State Warriors NBA basketball, Toronto Blue Jays MLB baseball, etc.). Uniforms/colors reflect the team/organization pride and aesthetic showcasing, so shuffling through the various team uniform colors/stripes may feel...maddening (especially in this modern age of high media proliferation --- e.g., CBS, NBC, ESPN).

So, how do you keep 'abreast' of all this and not feel literally 'swamped' by the 'ghosts' of the sports-field? You simply COORDINATE. That's how to bust the ghost of sports-schizophrenia!
