I discipline my kids in public when they misbehave in public.

Don't interfere with me because when you do, that brings you into my personal realm and I will deal with you accordingly. I will not stand for somebody, particularly a stranger, challenging my authority in front of my children.

Parents who discipline their children in public don't bother me at all.

It's those that refuse to discipline their misbehaving children that I want to throttle.

i have never seen a 13 month old that quits crying cause you slap it....or a kick by a 13 month old that warrented this reaction.

It all depends on how hard the slap is. A light tap to the face can break a kid out of a fit. Worked for both of mine. It is not really a slap more of a touch. shocks them and gets there attention.

There is no reason you should ever have to slap a kid that young harder than a little tap. IMO
