At my age I've seen a few long time friends who supported Barry Goldwater in '64, Bobby Kennedy in '68 and voted for McCarthy; smoked dope and grew their hair as they sought their identity in the radical chic movement; started careers, cut their hair & joined the martini crowd in the late 70's; became Reagan supporters in the 80's and joined the Obama revolution most recently.
There is something to be said for stability and working with those who generally support ideas one believes in, and helping and hoping to move the party in a direction to effictively implement ends one seeks. A "sheeple" follows and seeks to always be politically correct, some need to hop around not out of princple but out of a need to be accepted.

ah well i was just reading about how the stimulus was about to end and there is a debate on if it had any affect. most agree that it had some affect but it didnt grow the economy fast.
What would i do? Raise taxes and cut spending across the board till things leveled out. Id cut out programs if they are redundant or just not needed. My goal would be 5% in every department.
